Bring your hands to the floor.

Bring your hands to prayer position.

Lower your eyes.

Bring kind awareness to your breath as you breathe in and breathe out.

Bring kind awareness to your body.

Starting with your toes.

Slowly navigating your way up to the crown of your head.

Notice every sensation.

Notice the body parts that are cold or warm.

The sensations running through you.

And then bring kind awareness to your heart center.

Take in another deep breath here.

And exhale.

What have you responded negatively to in the last 24 to 48 hours?

Was it about yourself?

Or was it about another person?

Was it about an event?

What about it triggered the negative response?

There's no judgment.

Just notice and take hold of the emotion that that person or event evoked in you.

Notice any changes you feel in your body.

Scan from the toes to the crown once more.

Notice if there's any sensations,

Any tension,

Tightening,

Tingling.

Just notice how your body responds as you hold in thought your response to this negative experience in the last day or so.

All the while just keep breathing consciously.

Maybe hug yourself and hold yourself tight.

Gently rocking backwards and forwards or gently rocking side to side.

Holding yourself gently with compassion.

What was the emotion that you experienced?

Bring it to mind if you haven't already done so.

Or maybe you just responded without being aware how deeply you felt it.

Continue to hold yourself if that feels comfortable.

Or keep your hands at prayer position.

Or just relax your hands in your lap,

Palms faced up.

Notice in your body where you're most acutely experiencing the response,

The emotion that came up for you in the last few days or the most recent negative response you had.

It might be sadness.

Anger that comes with heat.

Disappointment that causes your shoulders to cave in.

Despair.

Frustration or some other emotion.

And holding the space with you as you remember,

As you feel the emotion in your body once more.

Notice if there's a change in your breathing,

Your chest,

Belly,

Muscles,

Head.

Pay attention.

Hold yourself.

Rock yourself gently.

Or keep your hands at prayer position if they are still there.

Or upturned in your lap.

And breathe consciously and deeply.

I am holding the space with you.

I'm sending you a vibration of love,

A vibration of positive energy.

As you reflect on the pain that you might be feeling in your body as an emotional response.

Any discomfort,

Gripping tension,

Contraction,

Throbbing.

What's the visceral physical reaction you're feeling right now?

I'm holding you in the light as you sit in this experience.

There are others joining us in this consciousness who may not be in the same place that you are right now.

And so they have the capacity to join me in holding this space with you.

So breathe in.

Breathe out.

Know that you are safe.

Have compassion for yourself as these emotions course through you once more.

And feel everything.

Let the self-talk or the ideas about the emotion fall away.

Let go feelings of shame or embarrassment.

Let them drift away with the out-breath.

Allow the healing,

Calming energy of love to fill the space between each breath as you breathe in and breathe out.

Have your enemy,

The negative thought,

The negative emotion and witness its transformation.

Allow the stillness of this inner silence to sweep the negative mind clear.

Having all these emotions branded as negative,

The silent treatment as we breathe and be still in the quiet of this moment.

Let the laughter show light to us in the quiet.

May you myself be the light.

You Allow these affirmative words you hear spoken into your heart.

Our first affirmation is from Judith Orloff's book,

Thriving as an Empath.

I will centre myself and lovingly detach from my state of overwhelm.

This too shall pass.

Our next affirmation.

I acknowledge those times when life is challenging for me,

Knowing I will eventually rise above it.

I reframe the voices in my head that cry foul or failure.

I am doing the best that I can to align with positivity and it is making a difference.

I love and appreciate wherever I am,

Who I am becoming and I am learning from all of it.

Take a deep breath,

Exhale.

Become aware again of your environment,

Your breath,

Your body and whatever sensations you are experiencing.

The sounds around you,

The temperature of the air,

The peace flowing through you,

The space held for you.

Open your eyes but keep your eyelids lowered.

Take another breath here.

Exhale and open your eyes.

Grateful for mindful awareness and transformation.

Namaste.
