Welcome to Poetic Mindfulness.
In these brief moments,
We will practice mindfulness through poetry,
Reserving a few seconds of our lives to feel the poetry of life.
This poem from Patricia Reuschau is called Here,
Now.
In the present moment,
All is.
Handcuffs disappear.
Obstacles are just ideas.
Here,
Where everything is free,
In the now,
Which has no past in itself.
The mind is free to flow.
The body is easy to understand.
Emotions are quiet memories.
In the now,
There is no room for futuristic exercises,
Nor anticipated suffering.
In this present of mine,
All is clear and infinite.
The air that goes in and goes out through me awakens me.
I visit the future and the past as I please,
Without being condemned by thoughts,
Without judging,
Without attachment.
I live here in my self of right now,
Conscious and connected,
For in the here and now lies true freedom.
Until the next poetic mindfulness,
And I wish you a week filled with poetry.
