Step into a world where we live in peace and justice; where everyone's voice gets heard; a place where we create harmony between every human race; a place where we stand together. Visualize a perfect world and then create it. We are all in this together. Blacks, Whites, Asians, Africans, Native Americans, Spanish, or Polynesians. We can create the world we want to see.

Welcome to tonight's meditation.

It is June 1st,

2020.

And a pretty difficult day.

As you know,

There's lots of riots going on.

Cops in the street tear gassing people.

So tonight,

We are going to meditate on justice.

To start,

I'm going to read a quote from Nelson Mandela.

For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains,

But to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.

The true test of our devotion to freedom is just being.

So sit in a comfortable position.

Let's take a deep breath together.

Inhale.

Holding at the top.

Exhale.

Inhale peace.

Exhale justice.

Inhale peace.

Exhale justice.

Now sit with that word peace.

What does it mean to you to have peace?

Peace does not have crime.

Peace does not have stress.

Peace does not have anxiety.

It is peaceful.

Inside of us,

We all have a peaceful place.

What does your peaceful place look like?

Where is your oasis inside you?

Your inner sanctuary.

And in that space,

There is truth.

Universal truth.

Peace does not have lies.

It has honesty.

To be honest with your brothers,

Your sisters.

To love and respect your elders.

Peace does not know color of skin.

It does not know barriers of language.

It just knows peace and peacefulness.

Now,

Sit with the word justice.

What does justice mean to you?

Justice is what is served when somebody doesn't keep the peace.

When somebody was unrighteous in their actions.

Justice lets us know that we have strong humanitarian morals.

That bond each and every one of us together.

That is peace and justice.

Now imagine a place where the peace officers kept the peace.

This is a beautiful place.

This is a place where our community members are the peace officers.

It is you and me.

It is our brothers and sisters who are keeping the peace.

And this is done peacefully.

Not by calling people out,

But by calling people up.

Most of us have good intentions.

And when we are called up on our mistakes we make in life,

We can do this peacefully.

Standing up and admitting your wrong doing is not difficult.

It is simply taking ownership of being human.

Nobody is perfect.

But when you see that everyone is perfectly imperfect,

You see that we are all made the same way.

We all,

Every man,

Woman,

Child,

Animal,

We all have hearts.

Pumping love through our veins.

And it is all the same color.

Lady Liberty stands with a sword and a book of justice.

And she is blind.

For she does not judge people by what she sees.

But by the morals of every black,

White,

Native American,

Asian,

Spanish,

Polynesian,

Every human,

Every man,

Woman,

Child,

Elder,

Community.

These are the voices that get heard.

For when we stand up and speak our truth,

Beautiful changes happen in the world.

When we realize that every vote and everyone that shows up for the unjust is casting their vote for justice.

For love.

For peace.

For unity.

Now I want you to imagine a new world.

A world that is perfect.

A world where people can't lie.

Where everybody speaks the truth.

Radical honesty.

It is so beautiful.

On the news they're speaking the truth.

In the streets people speak the truth.

We live in harmony.

We don't need words like immoral.

Shame.

Privilege.

Diversity.

These words are no longer used in this world.

But they have no meaning.

When we walk down the streets as sisters and brothers,

Children holding hands,

Skipping around fire arguments,

People of all colors and races,

Mixed together in communities and gatherings,

Respecting and loving one another.

This world is what we are thriving for.

We are all conscious individuals with good intentions.

Let's ground our intentions and make them our reality.

For this world is not a dream,

But a reality that we create every day,

Inside ourselves.

The way we show up when we go out in the world.

In the way we speak to others.

And the way we speak to ourselves.

Bernie Sanders said,

There's nothing we cannot accomplish when we all stand together.

Now imagine everybody picking up a pen and paper,

And writing their senators and governors.

People picking up megaphones and speaking their truth.

Peaceful protesters standing on the street,

Casting their vote,

Each and every one of them.

And then we begin to get a sense that what we're doing is making a difference.

We see cops walking side by side with us,

Not on the line against us.

We see senators and congressmen writing new laws.

We see justice begin to spread like wildfire.

We see people standing up for what they believe in,

Standing up against the unjust.

We begin to see peace in our streets,

Signs with hearts on them.

We see people giving each other hugs,

Not being scared,

Not holding fear in their heart,

But holding love.

We see our brothers and sisters,

Of every race,

Of every color,

Working together to create a better world.

No longer do we care about color.

We start coming together and caring about the planet.

We start caring about each other.

We start passing down wisdom and educating the children.

We see free schools begin to open up.

We begin to see young political speakers up on the stage.

The youth has a voice,

And they got it from their elders,

Who carry the wisdom of what true peace and justice is.

Now hold in the image of this beautiful world we just created.

Sit and feel yourself in it.

Imagine yourself in this beautiful world.

Imagine how you feel.

How it feels to not feel fear,

To fully feel free,

To just being.

How does that feel to you?

How hold in that feeling deep inside you.

Begin to wiggle your toes,

Your fingers,

And then move in this world,

This perfect peaceful world.

Take a deep breath in to it.

Smell the air.

And exhale.

And when you're ready,

Begin to slowly open your gaze.

See what's right in front of you.

See that world is actually truly this world,

If we choose to create it together in unity.

And when we stand together,

There is nothing we can't accomplish.

Thank you for meditating with me tonight.

And may you walk in peace,

My brothers and sisters.

Good evening.
