Hello and welcome.
My name is Pablo Arellano and I am grateful to share this moment with you.
Today we'll explore a practice that helps us enter the stillness within,
The space between thoughts.
This space is a portal that connects us with the divine.
This space,
Though subtle,
Holds the potential to transform our awareness and remind us of our true nature as spiritual beings.
The mind,
As you've likely experienced,
Is filled with an endless stream of thoughts.
It flits between the past and the future,
Often pulling us into memories,
Worries or plans.
While thinking is essential for navigating the world,
It can sometimes obscure the deeper truth of who we are.
Beyond the noise of the mind lies something far greater.
A state of pure awareness,
Untouched by thought.
This state is where we experience our connection to God,
The divine.
Or the infinite presence that pervades all things.
To access this state,
We practice becoming aware of the space between thoughts.
In this space we step out of the stories and labels created by the mind and into a realm of stillness and pure being.
This space is not just an absence of thought.
It is a doorway,
A portal,
That allows us to feel the presence of the divine within us.
One powerful way to enter this space is through the use of a mantra.
Today we'll use the mantra,
I am that I am.
This phrase,
Profound in its simplicity,
Is a declaration of our divine essence.
It reminds us that we are not separate from the divine.
We are a part of it,
Always connected and always whole.
As we repeat the mantra,
We create a rhythm that anchors us in the present moment.
Between each repetition,
We'll notice moments of silence,
The space between thoughts.
This silence is where the mind quiets and the heart opens,
Allowing us to feel the infinite presence of God.
Let's begin our practice together.
Begin by finding a comfortable position where you can sit with ease.
Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths,
Allowing your body to relax and your mind to settle.
Letting go of any tension,
Relaxing as your body softens into the surface.
For the next few moments,
Simply notice the natural rhythm of your breath as it flows in and out.
There's no need to control it,
Just observe it as it is.
Now bring your attention to the mantra,
I am that I am.
Silently repeat these words to yourself,
Allowing them to flow gently and naturally.
With each repetition,
Let the mantra fill your awareness.
As you continue,
Pay attention to the spaces between the repetitions of the mantra.
Let's spend a few minutes together in this practice.
How does this space feel?
Does it feel expansive,
Peaceful,
Or still?
Rest in this space for as long as it lasts.
If a thought arises,
Gently return to the mantra.
The mantra is always there to guide you back to the present moment and to the silence within.
The mantra,
I am that I am,
Is a reminder of your inherent connection to God,
To the infinite.
As you rest in this awareness,
Know that you are complete,
Whole,
And one with the divine.
There is nothing to fix or change,
Just be.
Gently open your eyes when you are ready.
Take a moment to reflect on your experience.
How did it feel to rest in the space between thoughts?
Were you able to sense the stillness and connection that exists there?
This practice is a journey,
A way of stepping beyond the noise of the mind and into the presence of the divine.
The mantra,
I am that I am,
Serves as a bridge,
Guiding us back to the truth of who we are.
With regular practice,
You may find that the space between thoughts grows,
Allowing you to rest more deeply in the awareness of your connection to God.
Thank you for joining me in this sacred exploration.
May this practice bring you peace,
Clarity,
And a profound sense of connection to the infinite presence that is always within you.
I send you many blessings and look forward to connecting with you again soon.
Thank you.
