Hello,
My name is Oksana Lozde and welcome to this meditation that will assist you to fall asleep,
Whether you are at home,
In your bed or maybe on the airplane or on the bus or anywhere else and you seek time for relaxation and sleep.
So making yourself comfortable wherever you are,
Maybe laying down or staying in a seated position,
Closing your eyes and allowing your body to soften,
Allowing your body to melt.
Imagine that you have a heavy backpack on your shoulders and then you just take it off and leave it on the ground.
And this backpack is full of heavy thoughts and accumulated tension,
Emotional and physical and to-do lists and tasks that need to be done.
So just put it aside for now,
Knowing that it's still going to be there whenever you need it.
But just for now,
Free your shoulders and take it off.
Imagine as you feel your shoulders to relax.
Allow the space in the back of your jaw to relax.
Bring your lips to part a little.
Bring your awareness to the corners of your lips and without actually physically doing it,
Just imagine how the corners of your lips start to widen and travel towards your ears.
Just imagine without physically moving your body.
Imagine shifting the awareness towards your eyes and feeling how the outside corners of your eyes start to slide to the sides of your face towards your temples,
Towards your hairline,
Feeling how your eyes are becoming wide.
Bringing your awareness to your eyebrows and relaxing the point between the eyebrows and feeling your eyebrows sliding down to the sides of your face.
Feeling to feel your face melting,
Widening.
And then bring your awareness to your scalp and relax the roots of your hair.
And the same way we can relax any muscle in our body,
We can also allow our mind to relax,
Allowing our thoughts to turn into something more gentle.
Now visualize that you are standing in front of the ocean.
Just a moment before sunset.
The water is calm.
Air is warm.
Notice the temperature.
Notice colours around you.
Sounds.
Notice the colour of the water.
The sound of waves.
The horizon.
The smell of air.
Picture in your mind the sound of water lapping against the shore.
Rushing gently into the sand.
Watch the waves flowing like your breath.
In and out.
In and out.
In and out.
In and out.
Picture the setting sun with all its colours.
Picture how the day turns into night.
Night of powers.
And the palace is where the growth happens.
Continue to observe the rhythm of peaceful waves flowing with the rhythm of your breath.
As you watch the slowly setting sun.
