A meditation for heart centered living.
When was the last time you really listened to your heart?
When was the last time you acknowledged your heart's desires?
When was the last time you asked yourself what you really want and need?
In this meditation we will practice listening to our hearts and giving them a chance to speak to us about what we really want and need in order to live our best and most fulfilling lives.
Now pause.
Breathe in.
Hold the breath.
Exhale and let's begin.
We'll begin by simply posing a question.
What are my heart's desires?
We're not digging around in our brains for an answer right now.
We're just posing the question and allowing it to penetrate our minds.
The act of posing the question without expectation of an immediate answer ensures that our brain is doing the work for us behind the scenes.
The answers will come in time.
We have taken the important first step of asking the question,
What are my heart's desires?
And now we will introduce our centering thought.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
Repeat this phrase silently in your mind for the next few minutes.
If at any point you find your mind has wandered off into thoughts,
Gently bring it back by returning to the words,
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
What my heart wants matters.
