Welcome to these overcome overwhelm affirmations.
Overwhelm happens when we are overloaded,
Doing too much,
Thinking too much,
Planning too far ahead,
Solving problems that aren't ours to solve.
It can feel like your brain is on fire,
Like you can't cope.
Overwhelm can trigger your brain's fight flight freeze response.
It can be useful to remember that this response developed in early humans in response to urgently life threatening situations,
Like being chased by a large predator.
Put simply,
If your life is not at risk,
Stress is an overreaction.
Know that you are just one person,
In one place,
Here,
At one time,
Now.
Now pause,
Breathe in,
Hold the breath,
And exhale.
Let's begin.
I am calm.
I am centered.
I am focused.
I calmly do one thing at a time.
I do the things that matter.
There is always enough time to do what is important.
I am controlled.
I choose my thoughts and reactions.
I am mindful.
I am right here,
Right now.
I make good decisions.
I take decisive actions.
I choose my thoughts.
I am conscious of my breathing.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
I work smart,
Not hard.
I manage my time effectively.
I set goals and take steps to achieve them.
My time is productive.
I take plenty of rest.
I take regular breaks.
I nourish my mind and body with regular rest.
I prioritize self-care.
I am balanced.
I work,
Rest,
And play every day.
I am full of good ideas.
I am inspired.
I let myself dream.
I live in the present moment.
I limit my intake of news and media.
I am the guardian of my soul.
I choose what I put into my mind.
I focus on what matters.
I have clear priorities.
I have healthy boundaries.
I am disciplined.
I know my limits and I respect them.
I do not need to prove myself by my output.
My work is good.
My workload is manageable and appropriate for me.
I can say no.
My priorities are aligned with my goals.
I take pleasure in my balanced and healthy life.
There is space in my head.
I am calm.
I am centered.
I am balanced.
I am here.
I am now.
I am present.
Take a moment to let these powerful words sink into your body,
Mind,
And soul.
Then return to your day or drift off into a restful sleep,
Knowing that by engaging in this practice,
You are manifesting positive change now.
Namaste.
