Hi,

This is Isabelle Tierney of the Feel Good Life and welcome to your meditation from stress to well-being in minutes.

So before we begin,

Make sure that you are set up for this meditation.

This is time for you.

So make sure there are no external distractions and make sure that your body is comfortable.

You might be sitting or laying down.

So let's begin by closing our eyes and bringing our attention to our breath.

When we experience any kind of stress,

Our breath becomes shallow,

Constricted,

Short.

So just notice right now,

What is your breath doing?

Nothing you need to do,

Just a noticing.

Let's bring our attention to our muscles.

When we experience any kind of stress,

Our muscles can get constricted and tight.

So again,

Just notice.

How are your shoulders?

How is your jaw?

How's your belly?

Your legs?

And now let's start consciously slowing everything down.

So let's go ahead and slow our breath down and start taking in some deep abdominal breaths.

As slow and as deep and as full as you can.

When we breathe with deep abdominal breath,

We are telling our bodies that we are safe.

We're telling our bodies it is good to be here and now.

We are telling our bodies that we can sink in to the wellbeing that always lives at the core of us.

So keep slowing your breathing down and deepening it,

Establishing a rhythm that feels good.

And now let's bring our attention to our muscles,

Inviting them to soften,

To loosen,

To know that it is safe and that they don't have to hold the weight of the world,

Of your worries,

Of your stress.

Loosen your shoulders,

Drop them.

Open your jaw,

Your belly.

Relax your legs,

Even your feet.

When our bodies feel safe,

Our emotions and our mind can also feel safe and we can return to our original state of peace and love and joy.

The state of who we really are beneath the stress,

Beneath the worries.

Keep breathing,

Keep softening,

Keep allowing,

Keep receiving.

Allowing yourself to become comfortable with this state of being.

Allowing your body to remember what this feels like so that even when external events trigger you as they will,

You will be able to remember this place and access it by choice.

Choosing to be here even when everything else around you might be turbulent.

Can you feel it?

Can you feel the calm?

Can you feel the well-being?

Stay with it another minute or so.

Enjoy it.

Allow it to nurture you.

This is yours.

Let's take one more deep breath in and out to complete this meditation.

Feeling all the air,

Taking a deep breath in and out.

And on your next inhale,

Slowly,

Slowly opening our eyes.

Keeping ourselves connected to our internal calm state while starting to take in the external world.

And practicing toggling back and forth between internal attention and external attention.

You become skilled at doing this inside,

Outside,

Inside,

Outside,

Whenever we choose to.

Taking yourself for taking the time for yourself knowing,

Remembering,

Taking care of yourself is the single most important thing that you can do for yourself,

For others,

For this planet.

And I thank you for being on this journey with me and may you take this well-being with yourself and in your life for the rest of this day.

And please come back anytime.

We need to shift out of stress and into well-being.
