Hello and welcome to your odyssey to the soul.
I'm Laurie and I will be your guide today.
Thank you for allowing me into your practice.
We will be exploring 10 affirmations to help ease the mind and body and let go of the day thus far.
So take a moment to get comfortable,
Whether you would like to be seated or laying down.
Pause to think about whether you would like to repeat these affirmations out loud or in your mind.
Whatever intention you chose,
Seal it with a breath in through the nostrils and a long sigh out the mouth.
Keep your attention on your breath best as you can,
Following its journey in the nose,
The way it whispers down the throat and fills the lungs,
And notice the sensations as it travels all the way back out.
Simply acknowledge how the breath flows today.
Does it feel shallow,
Maybe resting in the chest or throat,
Or does it dive deep into the belly?
No judgment or change needed,
Just noticing.
Allow the breath to be as it is.
Trust that it is nourishing you all the same.
In time,
The breath may naturally grow slower and deeper.
Give it that time.
I will begin the affirmations here shortly.
Each affirmation will be said twice.
As you listen to these words,
I invite you to begin to embody these affirmations.
Not to simply repeat,
But to see if you can conjure those sensations or emotions in the body.
And if you do not feel that particular way right in this moment,
Perhaps just remembering how it has felt in the past.
Memory is a powerful tool that we can use.
Let's start.
I consciously begin to slow down.
I am calm and at peace.
I did my best today,
And that is enough.
I am proud of myself and my efforts.
I rejoice in what I've learned today.
I give myself permission to rest fully.
I give myself permission to rest fully.
I'm safe and content.
My heart is pure and grateful.
I release tension in the body.
I release tension in the body.
My mind is restful and still.

Gently bring your attention back to your breath,
Feeling the chest and belly rise and fall as you simply breathe in and out.
Check in with yourself here.
Notice any feelings or sensations.
I invite you to stay here as long as feels right for you and your body today,
Perhaps even repeating the affirmations another time through.
