Morning Meditation Find a comfortable position,
Either seated upright or lying down.
Bringing a gentle awareness to your breath.
Roll your shoulders back and ease any tension in your muscles.
You may close your eyes if that feels comfortable to you or soften your gaze to a point in front.
Let's begin by taking three deep breaths to settle into the present moment.
Inhale through your nose.
Exhale fully through your mouth.
Inhale through your nose.
Exhale fully through your mouth.
Inhale through your nose.
Inhale through your nose.
Exhale fully settling into the present moment.
We start this morning by releasing the weight of yesterday.
Whatever thoughts,
Conversations,
Unfinished tasks or interactions that you may be holding onto,
Simply acknowledge them and on your exhale imagine them drifting away.
I don't need to bring yesterday into today.
Yesterday is complete.
Now bring your awareness to this brand new day ahead of you.
Imagine a soft golden light of the morning sun rising just for you.
With each inhale,
Feel the morning sun basking along your skin,
Warming you,
Awakening you and nourishing you for this brand new day.
Picture the sunlight flowing into the top of your head,
Moving down your shoulders,
Your chest,
Your belly,
Down your hips,
Your legs and finally down to your feet.
Every part of your body is bathing in this clean radiant energy of the morning sun.
Now imagine this energy goes with you in all the places you need to be at today.
Visualize the sunlight flowing from you into your home,
Your workspace,
Any meetings or interactions you may be having ahead of you.
Wherever you go this calm and bright energy arrives before you.
Picture yourself moving through the day with ease and steadiness,
Carrying this light with you at all times.
This brand new day is full of positivity,
Ease and calm.
Breathing in the energy of the sunlight and breathing out it spreads into your day.
Breathing in the energy,
Spreading out into your day.
Take a few more breaths grounding yourself in this feeling of peace,
Warmth and readiness to start your day right.
