Welcome to Whispers of the Heart.
Guided meditations.
I'm your host and guide,
Noriko Tanigawa.
We are often taught to move away from scarcity.
To fear what we don't have.
To believe that's having less means we are somehow lacking.
But what if we looked at scarcity through a different lens?
What if not having enough could awaken something within you?
Because when we don't have the resources.
The answers.
Or the easy way forward.
Something remarkable can happen.
We begin to imagine.
We improvise.
With a possibility we might never have noticed before.
We create.
Perhaps creativity is one of the greatest superpowers we have as human beings.
And sometimes it is not comfort that awakens this power,
But challenge.
Not having can invite us to discover what we can do with what we have.
So today,
Rather than trying to push scarcity away,
We will gently turn toward it.
Not to glorify hardship or pretend that luck is easy,
But to discover the creative possibility that can emerge when we meet limitation with curiosity.
What if the thing you thought was holding you back could become the very thing that calls your creativity forward?
What if not enough could become what else is possible?
This is the magic of scarcity,
Unlocking your creative power.
And whenever you're ready.
Let's begin this quiet journey.
From limitation to possibility.
From scarcity to creativity.
And back to the powerful truth.
That there may be far more within you.
Than you have yet imagined.
Find a comfortable seat.
Or lie down.
Allow yourself to settle down.
Move around a bit and see if you can settle into any one particular position of your choice today.
If you would like to grab your favorite pillow or blanket.
Anything and everything to make you feel extra comfortable.
Please feel free to pause this meditation and grab everything that you need.
And now.
.
.
We are going to start our practice with three deep breaths in and out three times.
Let's take a deep breath in.
And breath out.
Let's take another deep breath in.
And breath out.
And one more time,
Let's take a deep breath in again.
And audible breath out.
Allow your breath.
To return to normal.
Just.
.
.
Allow your breath to come in and out on its own.
Feel your belly come up and down.
With each breath in and out.
In today's meditation we are going to explore everything about scarcity.
And I think if you look at your life right now,
You can probably easily name a few things that you are lacking.
It could be scale three of money.
Resources to do what you want to do when you want to do things.
It could be scarcity of time.
And for some people,
It could be scarcity or relationship.
Or friendship.
Scarcity all.
The meaning and passion in life.
Whatever the scarcity that you are feeling right now.
Allow those scarcity to be right here right now.
And it's totally okay.
For you to feel that scarcity.
But understand that the scarcity doesn't mean that there's something wrong with you.
Or you're doing something wrong.
It's just the way it is.
And if you stop.
.
.
Placing blames on yourself or others.
You can soften that understanding of the situation.
You can just understand it as is.
You don't need to judge it.
And it's totally okay for you to dislike it.
And I want you to.
Now focus on.
How you feel about it.
And whatever you feel,
Just.
.
.
Name that emotions that you're feeling.
It could be.
.
.
Sadness.
It could be frustration.
Anger,
Sadness.
Helplessness.
You might feel not loved.
You might feel that you're not good enough.
Allow those feelings to be there.
It's okay.
There is no emotional feeling you're not supposed to feel in this moment.
We are in the safe space.
Where we can be totally honest with ourselves.
And for some of us.
Some of our scarcity might.
Make us feel a little embarrassed.
And that's okay too.
When I feel the shame.
And that's okay too.
And with all that frustration,
Anger,
Sadness,
Embarrassment,
Shame,
All that you're feeling right now about this particular scarcity that you are thinking about,
Can you send love to your soul?
Can you still love that person that you are?
This person who's feeding.
Just helpless and unsure about.
Dealing with this scarcity,
It's okay.
And know that you are not the only person feeling the scarcity.
A lot of us are.
We may feel the scarcity in different areas of our life,
But I think scarcity is one of those things that.
.
.
We always feel within us.
And this is OK.
Can you give a gentle hug to yourself?
And your inner child who feels a little lost and scared.
About this scarcity.
Can you reassure your inner child that everything is okay?
Let's take a deep breath in and out three times.
Let's take a deep breath in.
And breath out.
We're gonna keep allowing this emotion to flow through us.
So let's take another deeper thing.
And breath out.
And one more time,
Let's take a deep breath in.
And this time,
Let's give an audible breath out.
Allow your breath to get back to normal,
Allow your body to settle down again.
You might feel a little bit of the buzzing sensation in your body.
That's totally normal and that's fine.
You're just feeding the energy.
In you and around you.
And you feel.
Maybe a little bit lighter.
Not a scare.
Maybe the heaviness that you felt.
We have moved a little bit.
And I would like to share a story.
When I was a little child.
My family moved.
To Athens in Greece for about four years.
I was very little,
I was between age five and nine.
And during that time,
My parents.
.
.
They missed.
Japanese food so terribly because it was really hard to get.
Japanese food,
Later on Asian ingredients there in Greece.
So during those four years.
My mother,
She.
.
.
Baked.
Japanese style bread from scratch.
And she made all sorts of Japanese food.
With whatever the ingredients you can find.
And it tastes so fantastic,
And I.
.
.
Learn that from her.
That if you don't have something,
You can make something.
And that's really the spirit that I learned.
From her very early on.
So.
.
.
One of the favorite things I used to love to do when I was very little living in Greece was to use the paper as my favorite toy.
I made a lot of things with origami and I drew a lot.
That probably.
Helped me get to where I am as an artist.
And later on in life when I.
.
.
World.
From Canada to United States.
I started to cook a lot.
I baked.
Artisan bread from scratch.
Whenever I wanted to try some new food.
And I couldn't find the restaurant nearby.
Of that particular cuisine,
I would.
Look up the recipe online and I would cook it myself.
And all of that.
I probably wouldn't have had this skill set.
If I lived in an area where I had very easy access to great food.
So I have been observing Life in general and.
.
.
While we are here.
And I do believe that as human,
We're here to create.
End.
We are one of the very few species where we can think of an idea.
We get to have an inspiration from somewhere.
And we can create something out of it.
And I do believe.
That is.
Our superpower.
And I know a lot of people enjoy watching one of those Marvel's superhero movies and TV shows.
Sometimes feel almost envious of.
Superpowers that they have.
Well,
We have one already,
And that's our creativity.
And just like.
.
.
In almost any of those superhero movies,
They don't discover their superhero ability until.
.
.
They're pressed against the corner and having these insurmountable challenges.
Our creativity.
Manifest.
When we are under pressure.
So,
In a sense.
.
.
I believe.
The reason why there is scarcity in this world.
Is to really activate our creativity.
Because that lack.
Forces us to.
Think outside of the box,
Not rely on something that is already in the system or some solutions that are already given to us.
We have to be on our toes.
We need to think.
We need to be creative.
We need to be resourceful.
And we create something amazing.
Something utterly different.
Superbly better than.
If someone just gave you the solution easily.
So I wonder.
What if.
.
.
Scarcity is just.
A button.
That helps you push your creativity a bit further.
And what if scarcity is?
Just nudging you,
Pushing you to.
.
.
Unfold.
Your creativity into a whole new level.
What if scarcity is just asking you?
To reveal your superhero power.
What if?
Scarcity is just a call.
To create something.
On your own.
What if we can?
Use scarcity to empower ourselves.
Just like phoenix can rise from the ashes.
What if a true superhero power of creativity.
Can manifest.
In scarcity.
So right now I want you to.
.
.
Look back on the scarcity that you were thinking about earlier.
And we do look at that scarcity as.
.
.
Your call to be creative.
What does that mean?
If you feel you have absolutely more time.
Can you be creative about it?
How you spend your time.
If you feel.
The money's tight.
Can you think cold?
Creative ways.
To spend your money,
Or.
.
.
Using your creativity to manifest more money.
If you feel you are.
Relationship is lacking?
Is there a creative way for you to show up in the relationship or to get yourself out there?
There's no right or wrong answers.
And there's no idea that is.
Good,
Bad or horrible or great.
I just want you to be.
.
.
Curious about.
The solution.
And be playful about it.
I don't want you to feel like.
.
.
Whatever you try,
It must bring success.
Like your life depends on it.
I wanted to look at it as.
.
.
Just a curious fun case studies.
Little experimentation.
Try something a little bit different.
And see what happens.
You might surprise yourself.
And I wonder what happens.
If we praise our intent.
Being creative each and every moment.
Believe it or not,
Even when we don't have our intention,
We are creating something each and every moment.
We are creating the environment.
Our emotional vibrational field we are creating.
Something.
Each and every moment.
If we cook,
We are creating food.
If we brush our teeth,
We are creating cleaner tape.
If your parents.
.
.
We are constantly creating that relationship with you children.
We are creating something all the time.
So if we put a little bit more intention behind the way we create.
Everything we create,
Each and every moment.
Can you imagine how that would be?
Change your life.
Most of us.
Feel pretty powerless about the way we live our life.
We are actually really,
Really powerful.
Because a little intention behind everything we do.
Can profoundly change your life.
In the beginning,
You might feel.
Nothing has changed.
But as you practice more and more.
The experience you have in your life start to line up with your intention.
So use your superpower.
Create and be creative.
And right now it's okay if you don't.
Know what to do next.
What it means to have.
Impulsion.
Behind your creativity.
Just know that.
Your power to create something is so profound.
So powerful.
And because of that,
We want to align our intentions.
To be that old love.
Peace.
And harmony.
How do you feel now?
I hope this.
.
.
Helped you look at scarcity a little bit differently.
Let's bring back this feeling of.
.
.
Empowerment and creativity back into our physical realm.
Slowly,
With all toes and fingers.
Rotate our wrists and ankles.
Shake your head yes or no.
Whenever you're ready.
Slowly.
Open your eyes.
We'll come back.
I hope you feel better soon.
Light hearted.
And ready to create something amazing.
For the rest of the day and beyond.
Come back to this practice whenever you feel like.
Scarcity.
Is punishing you or.
.
.
You feel you are stuck in a corner.
You just don't know what to do.
And even if you have no idea what to do next.
Just to know that you have this power to create.
Will help you,
Guide you.
To the next step.
That will help you align.
Your action with your heart.
