Welcome to Whispers of the Heart.
Guided meditations.
I am your host and guide.
Noriko Tanigawa.
There are some relationships that do not end when a person dies.
Because even after they are gone.
The heart continues to carry something.
Gratitude.
Questions?
Regrets,
Disappointment.
Angle.
Wrong you.
Or perhaps a complicated mixture of many things at once.
Sometimes we miss someone deeply,
Even though our relationship with them was difficult.
Sometimes.
We grieve not only the person but also the words left unsaid.
The understanding we never found.
Or the relationship we wished we could have had.
And sometimes.
We do not know exactly what we feel.
Only that something within us still longs for resurrection.
Today.
We create space for all of it.
Not just a love.
Now just agree.
But the complexity of being human,
The mixed emotions,
The unanswered questions.
The tenderness and the hurt.
That can exist side by side.
In this meditation.
There is no right way to remember someone.
No emotion that is unwelcome,
No expectation that you should have already made peace.
Instead,
We will gently hold space for a conversation that may still live within you.
A chance to save.
What was never said.
To listen.
To forgive.
To ask for forgiveness.
Or simply.
To sit in the presence of what remains.
Not because the relationship is ending.
But because it may be ready to change.
To move beyond the form it once held.
And into something that can be carried with greater understanding.
Compassion and peace.
So for now,
There's nowhere you need to go,
Nothing you need to figure out,
And nothing you need to force.
Simply arrive here.
With your memories.
With your questions.
With your love.
Your grief.
Your anger.
Your gratitude.
Or whatever else is present today.
All of it belongs.
This is Beyond Goodbye.
A meditation for someone who has passed.
And whenever you're ready,
We will begin this gentle journey of remembrance.
Hearing.
And continuing connection.
Find a comfortable seat or lie down.
For today's practice.
Make sure you're feeling cozy and comfortable.
And if there's any.
Item that will help you remember this person who has passed away.
You might want to bring it close to you or hold it in your hand.
Whatever it means to you to make this meditation practice today extra special.
Feel free to pause this meditation.
And whenever you're ready.
We're gonna start our practice.
By breathing in and out three times.
Let's take a deep breath in.
And breath out.
Let's take another deep breath in.
And breath out.
Let's take another deep breath in.
And breath out.
Allow your breath to rest.
To return to normal.
Just witness your breath coming in and out.
Feel your belly coming up and down.
And feel yourself being held.
By this unconditionally loving presence.
And if you're tuning in today.
I know someone.
And your life has passed away.
And you're looking for.
Some way to resolve.
Within.
Grieving is one of those interesting process that never seem to end.
It goes through different chapters.
Different stages.
And it's different for me.
Each passing that we experience and witness.
So there's no right or wrong way.
To green.
A person,
Or even your pet who has passed away.
And one thing to consider.
This is something that I heard from somewhere.
That every time you think of them.
They are thinking of you.
And no matter what you believe about afterlife.
We all know that one day.
Our life will end.
It's just a matter of when.
And when it happened?
It is my personal belief.
Through reading.
A lot of literature on near-death experiences that We all go home and the home is where unconditional love is.
To the soul that has departed.
Ultimately heals.
In all areas,
Physically,
Spiritually,
Mentally,
And emotionally.
So,
The soul that has moved on.
Is no way in suffering they have gained.
All the understandings.
They meant to her.
During this life.
Unmove the arm.
And be part of this unconditionally loving stream of consciousness.
So if this person or your pet suffered.
Before their passing.
Their pain has eased.
Any limitation or disability they may have had.
Totally gone.
Yet.
Sometimes.
On our end.
Those who are left behind.
We hold this.
I'm finished business.
Maybe the conversation we wish we had.
Or sound.
Wishes.
Expectations that we may have had about the relationship with this person or how things could have been.
And this passing of this person or your pet brings a lot of mixed emotions.
And we're all human,
So it's okay.
To have complicated feelings.
We might.
Miss this person,
But.
.
.
Part of us might be still angry.
At something that had happened.
Before or after.
You may have done something.
That you feel still guilty about.
Or they may have done something.
You haven't had a chance to forgive them for.
We're gonna do all that.
Complicated,
Messy.
Human emotions.
And we too.
Imagine.
There is this big sphere in front of you that can contain all your emotions.
It is a safe space.
And it's just outside of you.
And you can't help.
All these great,
Fantastic emotions to the really ugly or sometimes.
.
.
Shameful or embarrassing emotions.
And that's all welcome here.
Just allow it to be.
Because no one else is going to see what's inside of this sphere other than you.
And because the sphere is not touching you,
You're just standing just outside.
You'll see.
Even when you feel a certain sensation from this emotion,
It can never truly harm you.
So allow this sphere.
To hold the emotion.
For all your feelings.
You might feel Love.
Anger,
Frustration and regret.
All in one,
And that's okay.
Allow your body.
To move those emotions through.
And pour everything into that sphere.
And if you're tearing up and crying,
That's okay too.
All tears are welcome.
It's OK.
And with all these feelings you might even feel a little confused.
And guess what?
That's okay too.
Just put the confusion inside of your sphere.
Just let it be.
Sometimes we have all these complicated emotions and.
.
.
Be domed allow those emotions to be expressed.
We may have been told not to show emotions.
Or that some of those emotions are.
Embarrassing or shameful.
It's okay.
Here inside this sphere everything.
Can exist.
Then when you do.
.
.
See you.
If there's any particular emotion that stands out the most.
And if you have one and if you don't.
That's okay,
Too.
Or if you have way too many that's going on,
You can pick one.
That's okay,
Too.
We're trying to see if we can move those emotions out.
Of a body.
By taking a deep breath three times together.
Okay,
Let's take a deep breath in.
Creating the momentum and breathe out.
Let's take a deep breath in.
And breath out.
And one more time,
Let's take a deep breath in.
And breath out.
Do you feel?
The emotions getting a little calmer.
You might even notice that.
Your emotions transitioning,
Maybe it was anger and frustration and right beneath that you might start to feel the sadness.
Allow all the emotions to be here.
I would like you to visualize this person who has passed away.
And If you can,
Try to narrow it down to one.
I think that will be a little bit more effective and if you have multiple people that you would like to Speak with.
You can always come back to this practice.
And do a practice for each one.
So I'd like you to visualize this person.
When they were sick or.
.
.
Not doing well but the time that you remember.
At their best health.
And I want you to.
.
.
Visualize this person in front of you.
And if this is the person.
Who may have caused any harm before.
Know that this whole practice,
It's happening within your imagination.
Which means that this person cannot harm you.
This is all.
A figment of our imagination.
So let's imagine this person,
Or if it's your pet.
Right in front of you.
And know that this soul has already gone through the process of passing,
Meaning that They know.
Everything about everything.
They know why they did certain things.
They know.
What their life was about.
And the lessons in it,
Whether they learn those lessons fully or not.
And also if there was any conflict with you.
This person knows fully.
From both sides,
This person's and yours.
So.
.
.
I want you to.
See this person.
Having full awareness of everything.
And now,
I will let you two talk.
But before that this person.
We'll make an apology to you.
For all the things.
This person.
Have done that they felt.
They may have.
Hurt you or harmed you in any way.
And I will let this soul express.
Is remorse.
And them asking you for forgiveness.
I'll give you a moment.
Now.
Can you?
Apologize to this soul.
For something that you have done that you believe may help harm.
Or hurt them.
I'm gonna give you some moments.
And now.
I want you to take one step closer to them.
And give this soul a hug.
And that's a hug.
You feel the purest form of love.
Coming from this soul.
And you return this soul.
YOLO!
And now I'm going to give you a few minutes.
For you and this soul to have this conversation.
That you've probably been waiting to have.
Allow this conversation to.
.
.
Take its own direction.
I know that.
Their soul.
You're speaking to at this point.
Will not do any harm.
It will come from.
There.
Or awareness and understanding.
I'm going to give you a few minutes.
So enjoy your conversation.
You And now if you are not done with.
The conversation.
Feel free to pause this meditation and continue the conversation.
We can come back whenever you're done,
So take your time.
I wish you a ton.
I want you to give one last hug.
And as you release your arms.
The soul.
Turns into a mist.
And disappears.
When someone passes away.
It's.
.
.
A form of goodbye but The relationship doesn't have to end there.
It just means that the relationship changes its form.
Instead of having this very.
.
.
Physical.
Relationship.
That we all used to have.
It transitions into.
.
.
The one that lives in your heart.
The one that you can activate at any moment.
So,
In that sense,
After the death of someone.
This person becomes closer to you.
Than ever before because this person resides in a space.
Oh,
That is just one thought away from you.
Every time you think of them.
You're here.
And every time you think of them,
They are thinking of you.
They're not bound by their busy schedule or.
.
.
Physical limitation.
And they're not there to haunt you or do any harm to you anymore.
They're just there to protect you.
Support you.
To love you,
And to.
.
.
Help you live your life fully.
So in a sense,
We can all call that.
Passing of someone.
Earth.
The graduation ceremony of your relationship into the new stage.
They may not be able to do things or help you in a way they used to be able to physically.
But they can certainly be heart of your guidance.
Part of helping you feel better.
Death.
Your life.
Is an amazing one.
Do it with love.
Joy and happiness.
And also dead.
You can move on with your life.
With this person or pet inside your heart.
And you get to carry this soul with you forever.
Let's take a deep breath in.
And breath out.
Do you feel the presence of this person in your heart?
It won't be a strong presence you'll feel,
Maybe a sort of flutter in your heart.
Or a slight tingly sensation.
Or it could simply be in remembering some things that this person used to say.
Or if it's your pet,
Something that your pet used to do.
Honor this new level of friendship.
That is pure.
No matter what this person may have done to you.
That may have been hurtful or painful.
That time has passed.
So now it's safe to hold this person or this pet in your heart.
And it's safe for you to live your life fully.
Enjoy pursuing your happiness.
And keep finding out how to express yourself fully.
So let's bring back.
The warmth that we feel in our heart right now back into our physical realm.
Slowly.
We go a thousand fingers Rotate our wrists and ankles.
Shake your head yes or no.
Whenever you're ready.
Slowly.
Open your eyes.
We'll come back.
If this practice made you cry a lot,
You may want to reach out for.
.
.
A tissue box How do you feel?
I hope this has shifted a little bit about how you see this person or your pet who has passed away.
No doubt from this point on.
This soul.
Will be.
Looking over you in a most loving way.
Imaginable.
Because we are indeed living in this very loving,
Friendly universe.
No one's really out there to get you.
Everything here.
Even life's challenges and lessons are there.
For us to live.
Our life fully,
To express ourselves freely.
To deepen our understanding of who we are.
And are healing.
As I do more and more.
Meditation practice and go deeper and deeper into this healing journey.
One thing I know for sure is that We are here to live our life.
And somewhere along the way,
Roughly halfway into our lives,
We realize that the part of the mission of our life.
Is to heal.
We are here to heal,
Purify,
And cleanse our life.
From our past programming and traumas,
Pain,
Sufferings.
So.
.
.
Let's continue.
In this journey of healing.
As I say during the meditation earlier.
If you have.
More than one person or one pet that you would like to dedicate this meditation practice,
Come back.
