Our pleasant it is to open the day focusing inward with a clear mind and sensation of empowerment after a night of dreams and sleep.
This is our own private self unity ceremony before the new day ahead of us.
Each morning we take few moments for ourselves to align the coordinates for today's cruise.
Every day we tune our inner compass to the direction we want to go,
Because it is so easy to forget that direction,
And to lose our way in the rumble of the day and on the open sea of life.
But if we make a point every morning to sit quietly with ourselves for just a few moments,
And to remind ourselves of the important goals of our journey,
Chances are that our lives would follow according to our intention and desires.
The reality that we,
Ourselves,
Have helped create.
Instead of being angry and blaming the whole world,
I take responsibility for my thoughts,
And practice inner leadership daily.
This is my morning meditation.
Everyone needs a personal morning meditation,
Since everyone is the captain of his ship,
Sailing in the vast ocean of life,
With its endless shivering paths.
Each of us has his or her unique journey,
Encompassing different weather conditions,
Challenging unseen currents,
Terrifying sea monsters,
And now and then a dreamy golden beach on a magical island.
Our meditation practice helps us navigate all these situations more skillfully and serenely.
So let us begin this practice.
Sit in a quiet place.
Keep your back straight.
Shoulders open.
Lips closed.
Teeth not touching.
Place the palms of the hands on the knees facing up.
Let your belly move as you breathe in and out.
Eyes relaxed.
Take some moments of peace,
So the waves of thoughts become quieter,
And you may be able to listen to the music,
To the bells.
Among the well-known spiritual stories,
You might have heard it many times.
The old Indian chief telling his grandson about the battle that takes place between two wolves,
One white as snow and the other black as coal.
The white is kind and positive,
And the other is cruel and dangerous.
And which one wins asks the boy with concern,
And his grandfather replies with a smile.
The one you feed.
A short story that summarizes all our inner work.
Two inner wolves.
A positive voice and an accusing one.
Light and darkness.
And our morning meditation helps us open the day with the white wolf.
Because the quality of life is the quality of thoughts.
And if we collect our thoughts correctly,
The whole cruise through life will be experienced differently.
This is my morning prayer.
Today,
May I have patience and giving.
May I be less critical and more forgiving and compassionate.
May I remember today to appreciate all that I have and feel gratitude towards the gift of my life.
May I have many smiles to give and blessings to share.
May I be able to see more beauty and less pollution.
May I have equanimity and peace of mind.
May I take good care of myself and avoid unnecessary arguments.
May I climb my mountain and allow others to climb the earth.
I will remind myself to rest when tired.
To drink when thirsty.
To eat when hungry.
To breathe full breaths at least three times a day.
To find time for a pleasant phone call with someone I care about.
Today,
I will encourage someone and I will learn something new.
I will listen to music and maybe dance at home.
I will stop to feel the strength and health of my body and send it love.
Now,
I am open to perceive the home of the world.
It feels pleasant inside my body.
It is so enjoyable just to breathe.
I can see a gentle flow of energy tingling everywhere inside.
A happy excitement pervades my being.
As a new day begins,
I open my hands to it,
Ready to accept all challenges and adventures.
Today,
I remind myself of my journey thus far is a respectable one.
That life is beautiful,
After all.
That I understand life is offering me some very important study stops.
That like the breath going in and out,
Every day I should gain something new and also let go of something old.
Remember,
To be moral is to practice the most important goal.
To acknowledge reality.
To know peace.
Today,
I remind myself to trust life.
To worry less.
To give love in abundance.
And to support my dear ones.
May all beings will be free from suffering.
May the world find peace.
My whole body is content.
I smile.
Feeling complete gratitude.
A new day is rising.
And I am ready for this new path.
To cultivate love.
After all,
This is what we came here for.
Morning Meditation.
I am ready for a new day.
