Welcome.
Tonight we will go on a journey under the stars.
I suggest listening to this practice in the evening or right before going to sleep.
So go ahead and settle yourself into a comfortable position.
Whatever that looks like for you is just perfect.
Have all your blankets and pillows ready and gently close your eyes.
Now let's begin.
So take a moment to notice how comfortable you are.
Feel appreciation for resting here peacefully and for finding the time to slow down and care for your body.
As you allow yourself to relax,
Notice any tension in your body.
Relax your jaw.
Relax your eyebrows.
Relax your tongue.
And maybe you're clenching your hands.
Allow your fingers to become loose.
So just use your breath to let go of any tightness anywhere you feel tight or tense.
Just use your breath to focus on that area and breathe into it.
This is a time to let go and relax.
Begin to feel your body release all tension as your breathing becomes slower.
Now soften your belly as you continue to breathe.
Now I want you to imagine that you're walking along a lightly trickling stream in a beautiful forest at dusk.
You're walking barefoot in the water.
Can you notice the water is warm,
Allowing the gentle stream to flow over your feet?
Notice the softness of the sand beneath your feet.
And as you look around,
You notice the hues of purples and blues floating throughout the forest.
Right now,
Everything seems so magical here and you feel so very peaceful and relaxed.
You are carrying a lantern in your hand to help you in your walk tonight.
The lantern's soft golden glow is not too bright,
But bright enough to illuminate your path.
As you continue to walk down the stream,
Following its path,
You notice that it leads to an opening up ahead with what seems like never-ending miles of trees.
And you feel compelled to continue walking straight ahead.
And the deeper into the path you walk,
The more relaxed you become.
You feel very safe and protected here as if the trees are here to support you.
And you can learn a lot from these trees.
They are patient and they know how to take their time.
They are always standing tall and proud,
Adapting and self-healing,
And they live unabound.
These can be our greatest and wisest teachers.
So you take a moment to appreciate their magnificent nature.
Everything here feels so still and so peaceful.
You begin welcoming the calmness to your body and mind.
As you get closer and closer to the opening up ahead,
You enter a wide open lake.
You continue to follow the stream to the moment where the stream merges into the lake.
You feel the warm water wash over your feet.
You decide to sit on a nearby rock.
You place your lantern on the grass nearby and listen to the slow,
Gentle lapping of the wind.
You can hear the crickets in the nearby distance,
A couple of owls hooting in the trees,
And you enjoy the awakening of the night here in this beautiful forest.
You feel so incredibly peaceful and safe.
The sun has now set completely,
And in the nearby distance,
You notice a couple of white yellow orbs twinkling in the darkness.
There are butterflies softly reflecting the moonlight in the depths of the tall grass.
You see more and more enchanted butterflies dance around the silvery surface of the lake,
And it looks so magnificent and elegant.
As you look up into the sky,
It is a deep velvet blue covered in millions of glittering white stars.
You feel so open and expansive looking out into the sky.
You're feeling so very peaceful and relaxed.
The stars are gently shining their healing light down on you,
And you allow the peace of the night sky to embrace you.
You can feel the support of nature all around you.
Notice how quiet,
Still,
And calm everything is at this moment.
There is no urgency here,
Nowhere to be,
Nowhere to go.
Just as the trees and the stars have so little to do and can move so slowly,
So can you,
Having so little to do right now,
So little to think about.
Going slowly,
You come across an abandoned campfire that is still radiating warmth from its glowing embers.
And right beside the campfire,
You notice a large,
Elegant rock covered in cushion-like moss.
You sit down and notice how soft and warm it is to the touch.
This makes you instantly feel relaxed and sleepy as you further sink into the support it gives you as you lie down.
You feel amazed at how this seems to be the most comfortable bed you've ever been held by.
This realization makes you smile as your jaw and face seem to melt into comfort.
Your eyes begin to feel heavy,
So heavy that you're almost fighting to keep them open.
You try holding your eyes open a bit longer to watch the glow of the embers and to enjoy the crackling of their song just a bit longer.
It's getting harder to hold your eyes open because of how peaceful and tranquil you feel.
So you surrender into the heaviness that ripples down your entire body as your eyes slowly close and you melt into a cocoon of peace.
You are further comforted by the deep knowing that you can return to this place anytime you want.
This is your special place.
You continue to hear the embers sizzling as you begin to fall asleep while basking in the warm glow of the embers.
There is nothing but peace here.
You are now slowly floating off into the deepest healing sleep you've ever had.
I will now count down from 10 as you slowly drift away.
10 You are safe.
9 You are free.
8 You are held.
7 All is well.
6 You are supported.
5 You feel deeply calm.
6 You feel relaxed.
7 Your mind is at ease.
