So taking some time now to find somewhere comfortable for you to sit or lie down.
And when you're ready,
Gently closing your eyes,
Or if you prefer you can keep them open just relaxing your gaze.
You might like to place a hand on your heart and the other on your womb area or by your side,
Whatever feels most comfortable for you.
Taking a deep breath into your belly,
Feeling your belly rise and let it out with a sigh.
Make any final adjustments if you need to so you can get completely comfortable and feel totally relaxed.
Taking another deeper breath into your belly and let it out with a bigger sigh.
Notice the feeling of the weight of your body resting on the floor.
Feel the earth beneath you,
Supporting you and holding you.
Take another deep breath in and this time tense all of your muscles as you inhale,
Squeezing from your toes all the way up to your knees,
Your thighs,
Your back,
Your arms and as you breathe out release those muscles letting your body soften and melt deeper and deeper into the floor.
Let's do this again,
Breathing in and tensing,
Tensing and then breathing out and releasing.
As you start to wind down now you might find that your mind still has some tabs open from the day.
Maybe you're busy thinking about something that happened earlier in the day,
Something you need to do or thinking about your little ones.
I want you to see those tabs open in your mind and just gently close each tab down saying thank you as you close it knowing that everything is well,
Everyone is safe and there is nowhere else you need to be right now but here.
Feel the day gently fall away from your shoulders and know that you are here in a safe space and there is nothing that you need to do right now and nowhere else you need to be.
This is your time.
Begin bringing attention to your body.
Notice the feeling of the weight of your body resting on the floor.
Notice the sensation of your clothes on your skin and as you breathe notice how your chest and your abdomen expand allowing the air to enter your lungs.
Now bring attention to your feet.
Noticing the sensations of your feet against the floor.
Notice if there are any sensations in your feet.
Maybe they feel heavy or sore.
If you feel any tension,
Taking your breath in now and imagining sending your breath all the way to your feet and as you exhale imagine the tension releasing with your breath.
Breathing the tension out of your body.
Now bringing your attention to your ankle,
To your calves,
To your knees.
Feel them becoming heavier and melting into the floor.
Noticing if you are holding any tension here.
Breathing into the tension and releasing it with your out breath.
Continue travelling up your legs,
Reaching your thighs and your hips.
Taking a moment now to acknowledge any sensations in your hips or your pelvis.
Just acknowledging any feelings that are here.
Letting our hips often,
Releasing any tension and with your in breath this time sending the breath all the way down to your hips.
Taking a moment to say thank you to your hips who carry you through life,
Who have been a home for your children,
Your creative projects,
Your life force.
Now bringing our awareness to your stomach.
Noticing the way that your stomach rises and expands on each breath.
Noticing if your stomach is tight or tense and just letting it soften.
Letting it go.
Travelling up to your chest and taking a deep breath in and out.
Noticing how your chest rises and expands with each breath in.
Starting to notice your shoulders and your arms.
Feel any sensations as you allow your attention to move from your shoulders down to your upper arms,
The elbow,
To your forearms,
Wrists,
Hands and fingers.
Noticing any tightness,
Any temperature sensations.
Continuing to breathe in and to breathe out.
Letting your arms and your shoulders be soft,
Melting into the ground.
Now notice your neck and your throat,
Just letting them be soft.
Letting your jaw relax.
Now bringing your attention to the top of your head.
Noticing any sensations in the scalp,
Down the back of your head,
Down the sides of your head and across your face.
Letting your face be soft.
Relaxing the muscles around your eyes and your mouth.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Notice your jaw.
Notice if you are holding any tension in your jaw and just letting your face be soft.
Moving to the chest and the heart area and letting the muscles in your heart soften and relax.
Often we try to protect our hearts in the hustle and bustle of everyday life so that we don't get hurt.
But just for now,
Practice what it would be like to open your heart a little more.
Perhaps even imagine a golden glow around your heart that then starts flooding your entire body.
Remembering that you are already perfect.
That you are loved beyond measure.
That there is nothing that you need to do or be to earn this love.
That it's your birthright.
Take a moment to breathe this truth into your heart.
You are loved.
You are perfect.
There is nothing that you need to do or be to earn this love.
It is your birthright.
Keeping your eyes closed and taking your time.
Begin to gently bring your awareness back into this space.
Take a deeper breath in and out and start to notice your body on the floor.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
Have a stretch and a yawn.
Then go back into your life remembering that you are loved,
You are perfect and there is nothing that you need to do or be to earn this love.
God Bless.
