In this six-minute meditation,
We will focus on our breath and thoughts as they arise in our mind.
Start by finding a comfortable position either laying down or sitting up with a straight back,
Shoulders relaxed.
And let's start by taking a big inhale in and sigh it out.
Another inhale in and sigh it out.
And one more deep breath,
Holding at the top and let it go.
Allow your breath to flow naturally,
Feeling the gentle rise and fall of your chest,
The effortless movement of your body as your breath flows in and back out,
Reminding yourself,
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
And keep following your breath as it fills up your lungs and comes back across your lips.
You feel the warmth as it moves in and out.
And on your next inhale,
Let's take an inhale to the count of three.
One,
Two,
Three.
And matching exhales,
Two,
Three.
And this time inhaling to the count of four,
Two,
Three,
Four.
And exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
And continue on as you would like or allow your breath to come back to a natural flow,
Allowing your inhale to come all the way down to the bottom of your feet,
Creating space within your body and all the way back out.
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
And you may notice thoughts that are racing around in your mind,
What you've done today or need to do or what happened two years ago.
And know that that's okay.
Thoughts are naturally occurring.
Take as much time acknowledging each one as you need,
And then when you're ready,
Dismissing those thoughts.
And each time you have one arise,
Simply acknowledge it and then let it go.
And in between each thought that arises,
Simply come back to your breath and trace your thoughts to breathe in,
Breathe out,
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
And then any time another thought occurs in your mind,
You can dismiss it as you wish.
Your breath will always be there for you,
Naturally flowing in and back out.
And this time taking an inhale into a spot you haven't yet touched,
Taking it nice and deep,
And then a matching exhale,
Releasing all unwanted tension and thoughts.
And at your own pace,
You can slowly start to open your eyes.
Namaste.
