We are about to practice the nectar meditation which will guide you through a journey to nourish your body and your mind.
Start by finding a comfortable seated or laying down position.
If you're seated,
Sitting up tall with a nice long spine,
Head reaching for the ceiling,
And allowing your shoulders to fall back and down away from your ears.
If you're lying down,
Finding a comfortable position that may mean propping something under your knees or placing something under your head.
Wherever you are in this moment,
Just be comfortable.
Settling into your position and your body,
Start to notice your breath.
Just notice your natural breathing.
Relax your jaw and your forehead.
Drop your shoulders.
And anywhere you're feeling tension,
Let it go on your next several exhales.
Next,
We're going to do a round of three breaths.
Start by taking a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling up the back of your throat,
Through your chest,
And into your belly just down to your navel.
Hold it there for just a moment and then release that breath to flow out of your belly,
Back through your chest,
The back of your throat,
And out through your nose.
We're going to do this two more times.
So breathing in through your nose,
Letting that breath enter the back of your throat,
Your chest,
And into your belly,
And hold.
Then release out through your belly,
Your chest,
The back of your throat,
And through your nose.
One more time on your own.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Hold,
And out through your belly.
Now,
Thinking about your health,
What is one thing you'd like to improve?
Perhaps you'd like more energy to move effortlessly through your work day or to play with your kids,
Your grandkids,
Or dog without feeling tired.
Or perhaps you want more energy to exercise each day.
Or maybe you feel you could use a boost in your mood,
Feeling more peace and happiness and less uneasiness and uncertainty.
Maybe balancing hormones so you feel stable,
Balanced,
And grounded feels good to you.
Or perhaps you'd like to improve your digestion.
Take a moment to choose at least one thing you'd like to improve about your health and place that one thing in your heart.
Now,
Imagine this one thing you want for your health turns into a healing,
Thick,
And juicy nectar.
Maybe this nectar has a vibrant color like orange or green or yellow or purple.
What color is this nectar for you?
This nectar is carrying all of the healing ingredients your body needs to nourish your body including that one thing you want to improve.
Envision the nectar traveling from your heart through your lungs where it nourishes your lungs.
Then it moves through the belly and nourishes all of your abdominal organs including your stomach,
Pancreas,
Liver,
Gallbladder.
Each organ gets bountiful nutrients for healing.
Then this nectar travels through your legs,
Your upper legs,
Down to your calves,
And your feet.
It's removing any stagnation and sharing all that your legs and feet need to be energized and to move freely.
That nectar makes its way back up through the legs,
The belly,
The lungs,
And the heart and then travels to your throat to nourish a strong and steady voice and to nourish your thyroid for a healthy metabolism.
Then the nectar makes its way to your brain where it flows freely through each and every crevice nourishing all of the elements of the brain turning on the power for memory,
Creativity,
Problem solving.
It nourishes your mind where it washes away your thoughts,
Your fears,
And adds healing thoughts creating a clear,
Happy,
And focused mind.
Now imagine that the nectar has accumulated any toxic elements in those areas of your body and has formed a ball within its thick juiciness.
And that ball has all of the toxic elements that aren't serving your best health.
Picture this ball leaving the top of your head.
The ball enters a beautiful flowing river.
Watch as that ball of unwanted energy floats away from you down the river.
What you're left with is this healing nectar that will keep you healthy,
Vibrant,
Full of life and vitality.
I'm going to be silent here for a moment to allow you to fully immerse in this nourishing nectar journey.
And slowly coming back to the sound of my voice.
Gently coming back to your breath.
Let's end and seal in that nectar with three deep breaths as we practiced in the beginning.
Taking a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling up the back of your throat,
Through your chest,
And into your belly.
Just down to your navel.
Hold it for a moment and then release that breath back out through your belly,
Your chest,
Back of your throat,
And through your nose.
I'm going to do this two more times.
Breathing in through your nose,
The back of your throat,
Your chest,
And into your belly.
Hold and release through your belly,
Your chest,
The back of your throat,
And your nose.
One more time on your own.
Breathe in,
Hold,
And release.
At this time,
I invite you to slowly start to move,
Bringing life back into your toes,
Your fingers,
Bringing life back into your legs,
And your shoulders.
When you're ready,
Finding a comfortable seated position unless you're already there.
Next,
Place your hands in front of your chest in a prayer position.
Rub your palms together 10 to 20 times until they start to feel warm.
Once your palms are nice and warm,
Place one palm on your chest and the other palm on your belly,
Sealing in all of that juicy,
Nourishing nectar and taking it with you as you move through your day.
