There are days when the world feels too loud.
When your thoughts race ahead and your chest tightens beneath the weight.
The sky could be clear and still the mind's in a storm.
Yet even in that noise,
There's a quiet place waiting.
Steady,
Patient,
And kind.
All it asks is that you return.
Hello.
I'm glad you pressed play today.
If you're feeling stressed,
Anxious,
Or simply out of sorts,
Know that you're not alone.
You've taken one step already by just showing up to this recording.
So let us take this walk together,
Slowly and gently,
One moment at a time.
And before we begin,
Take a deep breath through your nose.
And exhale slowly through your mouth.
Letting your shoulders lower.
Letting your jaw unclench.
There's nothing to fix right now.
You've already arrived in this moment for this short walk we're going to take together.
If you haven't already,
Go ahead and put on your shoes,
Gather whatever you need for a walk.
And if you'd like,
Pause here until you're ready to head out.
When you return and press play,
I'll be right here waiting to walk with you.
Welcome back if you went to go put on your shoes and let's start moving.
You can walk at whatever pace feels natural.
Take a moment to notice the feeling of your body moving through space.
The rhythm of your steps.
How your feet meet the ground.
Heel,
Arch,
Toe.
Maybe the air is cool against your skin today,
Or maybe you feel warmth from the sun on your cheeks.
Notice your breath now.
You don't need to change it.
Just let it move with your steps.
Breathing in,
Stepping forward.
Breathing out,
Stepping again.
Let the breath and the body fall into their natural rhythm together.
And for the next few minutes,
Keep walking and simply notice how your body supports you.
Every step is a quiet reminder that you are alive and present.
You may be carrying a heavy burden,
But that's okay right now.
For this time together,
We are simply walking,
Moving through all that which makes you feel heavy.
Now as you walk,
Let's invite a sense of gentle release.
As you move,
Think of one feeling or worry that's been heavy on you.
Maybe it's stress about the future,
A sense of overwhelm,
A fog of unease that sometimes rolls in without reason,
Or all of the above.
Whatever it is,
Name it softly in your mind.
Bringing it to your awareness.
Instead of resisting that feeling,
Welcome it.
You might say to yourself,
I welcome this feeling of unease just as it is.
I welcome this feeling of stress just as it is.
With each step,
Imagine the movement of your body helping that worry flow.
Allowing it to have space instead of pushing it,
Fighting it away.
You don't need to analyze it.
You do not need to fix it.
Simply allow it to be.
Allow yourself to be uneasy in this moment.
Each inhale,
Welcoming.
Each exhale,
Releasing.
As you walk,
Let it become an act of acceptance,
Of yourself,
Of this moment.
Letting your breath and your body and your awareness move together.
Welcoming and releasing your unease.
Now,
We gradually begin to let go of all of the stress that's been holding us back for a while.
Letting go of all of the stress that's been holding us back for a while.
Letting go of all of the stress that's been holding us back for a while.
Letting go of all of the stress that's been holding us back for a while.
Letting go of all of the stress that's been holding us back for a while.
A car in the distance,
The rhythm of feet on pavement,
Or the hush of wind through leaves.
Let these sounds remind you that life is all around you.
Life is holding you.
Feel your body again,
The swing of your arms,
The air moving with you,
The strength in your stride.
Let yourself be fully present here,
100% present.
There's nowhere to be except this exact step,
This exact breath,
And this exact step and breath.
Before our walk together comes to a close,
Take a moment to notice one thing that fills you with gratitude.
Whatever it is,
Let that sense of gratitude fill your chest light and easy.
Breathe it in deeply.
How does that feel?
Let it settle gently in your heart.
As you walk these last few steps with me,
Carry that feeling with you.
And remember that you are capable,
You are supported,
And you are allowed to move through life at your own pace.
Thank you for walking with me today.
May you carry this presence with you on the rest of your walk to wherever your destination may be.
And until next time,
May you meet each moment with kindness,
Each breath with ease,
And each step with calm.
Live like dust lit by fire,
Nicholas.
