In the Andean tradition, Ukhu Pacha refers to the inner world - the space of emotion, memory, reflection, and raw honesty. It’s where we meet ourselves beneath the surface. Not the roles we play or the titles we carry, but the part of us that quietly feels, questions, and becomes. This talk is an invitation to explore self-love and worthiness through that deeper lens. Not as something you earn, but as something you remember.

What Lives Beneath?

Wisdom from Ukkupatja,

The Inner World on Embracing Self-Love and Worthiness.

Last year,

I began immersing myself in the sacred teachings of the Andes and the Inca,

Under the guidance of a world-renowned teacher.

Much of what I have been learning revolves around healing,

Manifestation,

The wisdom of nature,

The cosmic realms and dimensions,

And the infinite power of love and Munay,

Sacred reciprocity.

It has been a fascinating journey,

One I know has only just begun,

And yet every step feels like a deep remembrance,

A soul-stirring return to something ancient within me,

A reconnection with my ancestors,

My cosmic lineage,

And the echoes of past lives whispering through time.

And so I feel inspired to share with you about a topic that touches my heart deeply.

In the Andean spiritual tradition,

Ukkupatja is the inner world.

It is a realm of consciousness,

Emotions,

Psychological reflection,

And divine mystery.

It connects us deeply to Mother Earth,

The cosmos,

And our infinite selves.

Ukkupatja is a mirror of the soul,

Always shifting,

Always evolving,

And never fully knowable.

Through it,

We realize that who we are is a mystery unfolding,

Not a fixed identity.

Each moment and each experience reveals a new aspect of our being.

We live in the wow,

The awe of daily life,

The magic of the moon's light,

The mountain's peace,

An eagle's flight,

Or a bird's song.

Everything becomes a cosmic mirror,

Showing us parts of ourselves we may not yet recognize.

How beautiful is that?

The ego wants to define,

To box us in with,

I am this,

And I am that.

But Ukkupatja says,

Yes,

You are that also.

You are always more than you know,

And always becoming.

And I love this,

Because why do we have to fit ourselves into boxes,

Create identities for ourselves,

And create limits?

Our emotional temple colors every experience in life.

Thus,

To walk in clarity and power,

We must tend our emotions consciously.

Even love,

Particularly self-love and worthiness,

Transforms the way we see and engage with all of life.

The most beautiful thing I have noticed is that the ultimate ceremony in this tradition is not external.

It is self-contemplation.

It is experiencing yourself,

Not just knowing or theorizing,

Dropping from the mind into the heart and into the body.

How does this relate to self-love and worthiness?

First and foremost,

You are ever unfolding,

And not defined by past wounds or labels.

You are not your trauma,

Not your role,

Not your past.

You are becoming.

Self-love grows when you embrace yourself as a divine mystery.

Not a problem to fix,

But a wonder to behold.

Secondly,

You are one with Mother Earth,

The stars and the divine.

This is the root of worthiness.

You don't have to earn your value,

Because it is your essence.

As light,

As consciousness,

As a child of Pachamama and the cosmos,

You are inherently sacred.

Thirdly,

Your emotions shape your perception and reality.

To practice self-love is to be gentle and aware of your emotional temple and landscape.

It means giving yourself grace when angry,

A breath when fearful,

And space to transmute pain into light.

You deserve your own compassion.

Fourthly,

Your reflections are invitations to see your own beauty.

That which you admire in others is already within you.

Life is a mirror of your potential.

Self-worth awakens as you see yourself in these sacred reflections.

And lastly,

Self-contemplation is a path of devotion.

True self-love isn't just pampering yourself.

It's curiosity and devotion.

Sitting with your spirit daily and meeting yourself and life with reverence and humbleness.

A contemplative question I'd like to leave you with this is.

.

.

What reflections from the outer world are inviting me to remember the divine essence already alive within me?

I'll read that again.

What reflections from the outer world are inviting me to remember the divine essence already alive within me?

If what I've shared around self-love,

Worthiness and empowerment resonates with you.

.

.

Then please,

I would love to hear more about your experience.

I will leave you with this reflection.

Thank you very much.

From heart to heart,

From light to light.

Namaste.
