Hello and welcome.
My name is Gabriela from Naui Wellness and I'd like to share a five-minute meditation focused on calming the nervous system,
Reducing overwhelm and releasing daily tension.
To begin,
Find a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down.
Allow your body to settle,
Feeling supported by the chair or floor beneath you.
Close your eyes gently if that feels safe,
And take a slow deep breath in and release.
Let this moment be entirely yours,
A pause from the busyness of the day.
Bring your attention to your body.
Notice the weight of your feet on the ground,
Your hands resting comfortably and the contact your body makes with the surface supporting you.
Gently scan from your head down to your toes.
Notice any areas of tension without judgement,
Just acknowledging where your Now bring your focus to your breath.
Inhale slowly through your nose for a count of four.
Hold gently for a moment and exhale through your mouth for a count of six.
Allow each exhale to be longer than your inhale,
Letting your nervous system to settle.
With each breath imagine tension melting away as if your body is releasing what it no longer needs.
Continue breathing like this just a few more rounds.
In for four,
Holding gently for a moment and as your mind wanders,
Gently guide it back to the rhythm of your breath.
Picture a warm soothing light at the top of your head.
With each breath this light slowly moves down through your body,
Relaxing your forehead,
Jaw,
Shoulders.
Feel it ease in tension in your back,
Hips,
All the way to your feet.
As this light flows,
Imagine it carrying away any overwhelm,
Any stress,
Leaving only calm and spaciousness in its path.
Take one final deep cleansing breath in and exhale fully,
Letting go.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes,
Bringing awareness back to the room.
When you feel ready,
Softly open your eyes.
Carry this sense of calm and ease with you into the rest of your day.
