Imposter syndrome is not pleasant.

It often comes during those times in our life of expansion,

When we are stepping into a new way of being,

Something that feels uncomfortable and unfamiliar and unknown,

And oftentimes this reason why we don't feel good enough or worthy enough or like we are ready for this new unknown to unfold is because some part of our inner child is wounded.

Some part of our inner child is triggered by this notion of I am not good enough.

So in this meditation,

I invite you to send love to that part of yourself.

Maybe there was a specific moment as a child or in your early adolescent years,

Or maybe that young child just needs a little extra love right now in order to feel good enough for all that is for them in the future.

Whenever you're ready,

Find a comfortable meditative posture,

Gently closing down the eyes,

Coming home to your body,

To your breath,

To your mind,

Bringing your attention to your normal pattern of breath,

Noticing the sensation at the tip of your nose,

How it feels different on the inhale and on the exhale,

Knowing that you can always return your focus on the breath at any time that things feel overwhelming or too much to handle.

In your mind's eye,

Begin to imagine your perfect paradise.

Trust whatever image comes up first.

This can be a place that you have visited before,

Somewhere that you long to go,

Or somewhere completely made up within your mind.

This is a place where no harm can come to you.

You are completely safe and at ease.

Invite in a version of your inner child to have a seat in front of you,

Sitting knee to knee,

Eye to eye,

Heart to heart.

See them in front of you,

Feeling nothing but unconditional love.

Ask them the origin point of this imposter syndrome,

Maybe a time in which they did not feel like they were enough or that they were ready for something.

Watch this moment play out with them by your side,

Knowing that at any moment you can return back to your perfect paradise and back to your breath.

Allow that moment to wash away and return your focus back to your inner child seated before you,

Feeling the weight of this imposter syndrome weighing on the both of you.

You see them in front of you and you wish for that to be transformed.

Share with this inner child anything that they may need to hear,

Anything that may comfort them,

Or anything that they may need.

Feel a deep unconditional love coming from the center of your chest,

Extending outwards to comfort this inner child,

This part of yourself,

Reminding them you are enough just as you are.

You are ready for anything that comes your way.

You are completely supported and loved unconditionally.

I will never leave you.

You are worthy just as you are.

You are ready for anything that comes your way.

You are completely supported and loved unconditionally.

I will never leave you.

Stay with your inner child for as long as you would like,

Knowing that providing this space for them is also space for yourself.

Take a moment to allow this inner child to take in all that you are,

All that you have become.

Maybe they even share that they're proud of you.

Feel this mutual,

Unconditional love moving between the two of you,

A bond that can never be broken.

Watch as your inner child begins to wash away with the scene of your perfect paradise,

Knowing that they are always there for you,

Always there to be accessed,

To be tended to,

Always there because they come from you,

Therefore they will always be within you.

Begin bringing your attention back on your normal pattern of breath,

Taking a few moments,

Settling back into the body,

Feeling the ground beneath you,

Supporting you unconditionally,

Knowing that you are ready for anything that comes your way,

And that these moments of feeling imposter syndrome aren't always real and we can always wash them away,

Knowing that imposter syndrome is there,

But sometimes all it takes is a little love to help it wash away.

On your own time,

Whenever you're ready,

Gently blink the eyes open,

Bringing in the space around you,

Noticing any transformations that may have happened internally or externally throughout the past few minutes,

Remembering that you are worthy just as you are,

And you are ready for anything that comes your way.

It wouldn't be there if you weren't ready for it.

Move forward into this new unknown,

Remembering that there is infinite potential in everything around us.
