Welcome.
My name is Natalie and I am so grateful you are here today.
The following meditation is inspired by the book Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes,
A book I've read several times.
So,
Take a moment to arrive fully here.
Find a comfortable position,
Lying down or sitting,
And gently allow your eyes to close.
This is your time,
A sacred space,
Just for you.
There is nothing you need to fix,
Nothing you need to achieve,
Only to remember who you truly are beneath everything you were told to be.
Now,
Softly bring to mind a personal intention,
A sankalpa,
A deep inner truth you are choosing to embody.
You may choose one of those or let your own arise.
I trust my intuition.
I trust my intuition.
I allow my wild,
Authentic self to guide me.
I allow my wild,
Authentic self to guide me.
I listen to my inner voice with love and courage.
I listen to my inner voice with love and courage.
I am free to be fully myself.
I am free to be fully myself.
Now,
Choose your sankalpa and silently repeat your sankalpa three times to let it settle into your heart.
Now,
Gently bring awareness to your breath.
Inhale slowly and deeply and exhale releasing fully.
Feel your body begin to soften.
Relax your forehead,
Your jaw,
Your shoulders and let go of any tension you may be holding.
And with every breath,
Sinking deeper into ease.
And feel your body supported,
Safe and held by the Earth beneath.
And now imagine yourself walking into a big ancient forest.
Imagine the trees,
The colors,
The sound,
The smell.
This forest is your inner world.
It's a place untouched,
Natural,
Wild and alive.
Now,
Feel the ground beneath your feet.
Feel the air around you,
Fresh,
Full of life.
And as you walk deeper into the forest,
You begin to feel something staring,
A presence.
And there,
In the depth of the forest,
You encounter her,
Your wild self,
Your instinct,
Your intelligence,
Your intuition.
And she stands before you,
Strong,
Free and tamed.
And she looks at you with deep knowing.
She says nothing,
Because she doesn't need to.
Her presence speaks directly to your soul.
Now,
Gently ask her,
What do I need to hear right now?
What have I been ignoring?
What truth lives within me?
And then,
Listen,
Without forcing,
Without judging.
Just allow whatever arises,
Words,
Feelings,
Images,
Sensations.
Trust whatever comes,
Even if it feels subtle.
Now,
With her by your side,
Take a moment to release what is not yours.
The expectations,
The conditioning,
The shoulds,
The voices that told you to shrink,
To silence yourself.
Imagine them gently falling away,
Like leaves drifting from trees.
Let them go.
Using your exhale to release.
Release the expectations,
Release the conditioning,
Release the shoulds,
Release the voices that told you to shrink,
To silence yourself,
Release with every breath,
Release.
And now,
Feel your body,
Feel your strength,
Your sensitivity,
Your depth.
There is wisdom in your body and knowing that cannot be taught.
This is your wildness.
Not chaos,
But truth,
Instinct,
And feel it pulsing within you.
You're allowed to feel,
To express,
To take up space,
And to trust yourself.
Now,
Open your hands and walk towards your wild self.
And your wild self now gently places a symbol in your hands.
It might be a light,
A feather,
A stone,
A crystal,
Or something that has meaning for you.
And this is a reminder that your wildness lives within you,
Always available,
Always present.
You do not need to search for her,
Only to remember her.
Now begin to slowly bring your awareness back,
Back to your breath,
Back to your body.
Feel the surface beneath you,
The room around you,
And gently move your fingers,
Your toes.
And when you are ready,
Open your eyes.
Now take a few moments after this practice to gently integrate what you felt.
You could journal what you felt or received.
Notice your intuition in the upcoming days.
You might also want to spend more time in nature to reconnect with your body and start saying yes to small instincts,
Even tiny ones matter.
Practice listening before reacting and allow yourself to feel without judgment.
Your wild woman is not something you need to become.
She is who you are when you stop abandoning yourself.
Every time you choose your truths,
You strengthen that connection.
You were never lost,
You just needed to remember.
Until the next time,
Namaste.
