Meet Your Animal Totem

You have an animal spirit guide and it wants to work with you. Let me take you on a sacred and magical journey to meet your Animal Totem.

Hello, This is Natalie Eve Markey. To begin, Take several long, Slow, Deep breaths. And as you do, Allow your body to sink into the surface you are sitting or lying on. Just allow the chair, Sofa, Or bed to fully support you. Become aware of any tension in your body, And just let it all drain away. Breathe in one long, Slow, Deep breath, And exhale one long, Slow breath, Allowing yourself to sink into a comfortable state of relaxation. It feels so good to just let go. Now you might sense or hear in your mind the sound of ancient drums. And in your imagination, It might feel as if the drums are calling you. Are drawing you in. As you listen to the drums, I will count from 10 to 1, Bringing you on a magical journey to your inner wisdom and a deeper state of comfortable relaxation. 10, The steady rhythm of the drums remind you of your heartbeat, Beating a steady rhythm that is both comforting and reassuring, Helping you relax deeper than you've ever been before. 9, As you listen to the drums, It feels as if you're floating through time, Getting more and more relaxed. 8, You feel a sense of anticipation, Because today is a special day. Today you will meet your sacred animal totem. And you are so looking forward to meeting your animal guide. So you allow yourself to relax even more. 7, That's right, Simply relax and allow yourself to go deeper, Becoming more and more relaxed. 6, Drifting, Floating, Going deeper and deeper. You don't have to try or force the process, Because when it's time, Your animal totem will come to you easily, Effortlessly, And clearly. 5, The one you want to meet wants to meet you as well. So you can just relax and let go. 4, Listening to the drums and the sound of my voice relaxes you and takes you deeper and deeper, Back and back. 3, You feel as if you are gently being drawn to a far, Far place, A magical place where your animal totem lives, A place you may have forgotten, But part of you remembers as well. And all of this relaxes you more and more. Allowing you to go deeper. 2, The drums in your drifting start to slow way, Way down until suddenly everything stops. 1, You have now arrived to the perfect time and the perfect place. Ahead of you, You notice a campfire. People are dancing around the fire to the rhythm of the drums. Another group of people are seated in the bigger circle around the dancers. You can smell the smoke from the fire. The night air is warm and inviting. You walk forward and sit in the outer circle. The drums quiet as an elder walks to the center of the circle and begins to speak. Today we celebrate the vision quest that a member of our tribe is about to take. This is an honored tradition and a sacred rite of passage. Our great ancestors only call forth those that are pure of heart and strong of spirit. You feel a deep sense of anticipation and your heart skips a beat as the elder points to you and asks you to step forward. It is your time. You feel honored and deeply moved. The elder begins saging your body to cleanse and prepare you for your vision quest. The sage smells earthy. You can hear the fire crackling. The elder pauses before you and paints a symbol on your forehead. It feels cool as it touches you. You trace the image with your finger and instantly know what the symbol is. What is the symbol? The elder continues, The great one knows that much will be asked of you and it does not send you out into the wilderness of life alone. And so the great one offers each one of us a beloved spirit animal guide to direct and protect us. Know that the animal that comes to you has chosen you and this is a great honor. The elder raises her hands to the heavens and begins a beautiful haunting chant. A thick colorful mist rises from the fire and begins to swirl around you. The mist swirls like a rainbow of red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and purple. It swirls around the tips of your toes and up your legs, Your body, Your chest, Throat and head. You are enveloped and surrounded in this colorful magical mist. Through the mist you hear the elder say, Look off into the distance. Your spirit animal has traveled a long way to see you. As you try to look far into the mist you see swirling shapes and animals. Animals of the sky, The jungle, Mountains, Animals of the desert, Lakes and oceans. The animals form and reform. You can feel an ancient power radiating from the mist. One particular animal is now taking shape. Then slowly, Gradually one animal comes forward out of the mist. You can see it clearly. You feel an instant connection with your spirit animal. It may not be the animal that you anticipated, But somehow this is the perfect animal for you. This is your sacred totem animal. It was linked to you at your birth, Waiting for your spirit to awaken to it. As your totem animal comes forward you can sense its immense power and gifts. You feel a sense of awe as you realize you and this animal are now sacred partners. From now on this animal will journey with you, Be with you everywhere you go. Like a guardian angel or spirit guide, Your animal totem will protect you, Guide you and empower you. Your totem animal is pure energy. Sometimes you sense it as a light force or a feeling that you're not alone. Other times it sends you images of itself in art, Books, Signs, Movies and more. These are reminders that you are on the right path and that you are not alone. You are divinely supported and guided. You only have to call on your animal totem for it to be there. Your animal totem sees the clearest and easiest path to your highest and best good and it will guide you to it. So take some time now to relax and feel the spirit and presence of your animal. Simply relax and open your heart and mind to its presence, To its essence. Can you feel its love for you? Your animal totem wants to share something with you. It has a special message for you. What does it want you to know? What gifts and strengths does your presence bring into my life? Share its answer or you may sense or feel its answer. What gifts and strengths does your animal totem bring you? Your heart fills with love and appreciation as you realize that you and this animal are now sacred partners. It is time for you to return now but before you go, Your animal totem places in your hands a gift. What is the gift? Take a minute now and thank your animal totem for choosing to be your guardian and your guide. You are now ready to begin your journey together. And so now we begin our return to full conscious awareness. And as we do, Slowly become aware of your breath again. Notice yourself breathing in and out. You might even wiggle your fingers and toes. Stretch a bit. And when you're ready, Open your eyes and begin your best day ever.

Hi! Do you have any advice if you are thinking to much about it? I felt like I just choose an animal after thinking of a few that came to mind and could not really let it come to me.

I also couldnt get the image of the gift come to mind. However.. I did really want to hug it:)

After doing this meditation three times, I was finally able to meet my animal guide, the polar bear. His gift to me was a tattered red cloth with some sort of rod wrapped inside it. However, when I unwrapped the cloth, there was nothing inside. I don’t know what that means, if anything. I’ll keep at it, but any help would be appreciated.

So surprised that a powerful Elephant came forward to meet me. She was so strong and gave me her Presence, her Power, and then the gift she placed in my hands was Playfulness. I picture elephants playing in a pond or lake. 😃 How remarkable!
