This short practice is for transitioning out of the day.
There is nothing to process or fix,
Just allowing the body to arrive.
Find a comfortable position.
You might soften your jaw.
Release your shoulders slightly.
And let the body be supported.
Notice the breath moving naturally.
No effort No need to breathe deeply.
Each exhale,
Allowing the day to loosen its grip just a little.
If the mind wanders,
That is okay.
You don't need to bring it back.
Just letting thoughts drift through.
There is nothing to solve right now.
Nothing required of you in this moment.
Notice the weight of your body being held.
The surface beneath you.
The feeling of support underneath your body.
Let the hands rest naturally.
Jaws soft.
Shoulders not held up.
And if there is still tension somewhere,
That is okay too.
There is no need to force relaxation.
Just allowing the body to slow down at its own pace.
You might imagine the nervous system beginning to transition out of the pace of the day.
Not shutting off instantly.
Just gradually slowing.
Allowing yourself to arrive more fully into this evening.
No pressure to sleep.
No pressure to feel perfectly calm.
Just creating a little more space to rest.
You're allowed to rest,
Even if the mind is still moving a little.
Taking a slow deep breath in through your nose.
And a soft,
Gentle breath out through the mouth.
And when you're ready.
Gently continue into the rest of your evening.
