Namaste divine beings.

I am Nandiji,

Yogi visionary.

Nine teachings to empower mantras.

Through history of ancient India to now,

Through all challenges posed by a thousand years of brutal invasion and colonialism,

The wisdom of spirituality was passed on through mantras.

Vedas,

Upanishads,

Bhagavad Gita and nearly all scriptures are in essence mantras.

Mantra or Mandiram as in ancient Tamil is deeply meaningful in our spiritual journey.

The mantra holds within the essence of the invoked.

In reciting mantras,

Invoking divinity,

We become the divinity.

Mantras contain energies to transform realities and experience from within.

Mantras enable deeper meditation by aiding focus,

Subduing thoughts and allowing the mind to settle in calm.

Mantras are the transfer of wisdom and knowledge of thousands of years of the past to the future.

These nine insights into the mantra and its use does gift us the magical potentials of the mantra.

The first,

Originator blessings.

Before reciting a mantra,

Take the blessings of the guru from whom you receive the mantra.

If it is a mantra retrieved online or written somewhere,

Spend a moment in gratefulness to all who recited the mantra before.

Mantras contain the energy of those who chanted the mantra before.

Second,

Focus on the divinity and or the essence invoked through the mantra.

The meaningfulness of any mantra is in its intent and the divinity within.

When in focus,

The mind attains a single-pointedness and settles to its pristine,

Thought-free,

Clutter-free clarity.

Third,

Mantra core.

Go within to hold the mantra from its core.

Every mantra is a wheel of energy that whirls.

Going into the mantra,

To the core of mantra,

Attainments of mantra benefits and effects is in an instant.

Core within.

Create the core within.

Mantra the sacred embryos containing the intended reality and the divinity invoked.

In reciting the mantra of Lord Shiva or Goddess Mahalakshmi,

We are awakening the core within to be the vibrancy of divinity or the intent.

This core is a space of nothingness that holds the vibrancies of the mantra.

Five,

Higher vibrations.

Attain the higher vibrations of the mantra in trust,

Surrender and confidence of the mantra in its power and intended effects.

Six,

Breath.

Utilize the mantra to ride breath.

Within breath is the breath beyond breath of real meditation when the mind has ceased.

In meditation,

In the mantra chants,

Breath slows down,

Allowing our mind to settle in its primordial peacefulness.

Seven,

Tapas power of we.

Utilize the mantra chanting to enter into tapas,

The ancient fires where we are continually dissolving our thoughts to the devotional wisdom of the invoked deity.

In the inner fire of tapas,

Our ego dissolves.

In tapas,

Our eye of ego transforms to the we of wisdom,

Realizing ourselves to be the spirit having the human experience.

We are blessings of collective enlightenment of past and present.

All Tibetan tantric yogis and siddha masters transcended the limits of mind and body,

Meditating on freezing temperatures without food through the power of tapas.

Eight,

108 times completion.

Chant the mantra 108 times as in the count of 108 to make the mantras effective.

Utilizing prayer beads,

Chanting the mantra 108 times is called japa.

In japa of chanting 108 times with mantra,

Unlock the potent blessings of the mantra.

Nine,

Essence of meditation.

Mantra chanting is the mother of meditation.

We resolve our external challenges and amplify our happiness by way of mantra chanting to be truly peaceful and with hope and a greater vibrancy to tackle limits and resolve our realities from within.

When invoking the divine,

Reciting the mantra all the time subconsciously and consciously,

Allow our tapas of inner fire to give us the benefits within the mantra.

So being in the mantra,

Fires in daily life gives us the experience of heaven no matter what the realities are.

Even as we transform our realities to heavens we seek.

As embodiment of divinity,

We steer destiny.

In grace of the mantra light,

Om Namah Shivaya.
