Hello everyone,
It's Nancy here from Nancy Inspired and I am here with the Tea Cup Wisdom for the month of April.
So the first image in the cup is a little dragon that's kind of attached to a person that's raising its hand up.
And the dragon,
You know,
Its wings are outstretched,
It's got these beautiful wings and attached to the person that's kind of waving its hand up.
And the idea is that you are being asked for the month of April to be bold,
To be fierce,
To go after your goals,
To jump in and make things happen,
To fly.
And that if you don't,
You may be left behind.
That you may be the one with your hand up saying,
Hey,
Wait for me.
And so it's just asking you to be fierce,
Be bold,
And jump in.
Try and get things done.
Do the things that you set your mind to do and work at making them happen.
The next image,
This one's interesting because it's tied into the bottom of the cup.
The bottom of the cup is usually sort of the core,
Deeper issues,
Like things from your childhood and upbringing might be in there,
Or some deeper aspects of your personality.
And then there's another little part that's kind of stepping out of that bottom of the cup.
The middle of the cup is usually kind of the current,
Day-to-day,
What's going on.
The top of the cup is sort of the higher self.
So what I've got here is there's a figure,
There's a being that's kind of coming up at the bottom of the cup.
And this figure looks like a nun or like the Virgin Mary,
Like something like that,
Like a very pious kind of thing.
And then there's another part that's like another figure that's sort of almost dancing,
Kind of floating on its own little island just outside of it.
What I'm hearing is that now is the time in April,
Is the time to just ask yourself why you do what you do,
Why you believe what you believe.
I'm not at all advocating that we abandon tradition and abandon what we've learned,
What we've grown up with,
That kind of thing.
But what I am hearing is to take a look at especially how some of these belief systems limit us.
I'm going to use like an example from a story.
I don't exactly remember the origins of the story,
But the idea is that there were people that were meditating.
And every time they'd go to meditate,
There was the temple cat that would sit around and crawl on people and irritate them while they were meditating.
So they began to just tie up the cat while they were meditating to make it so that the cat didn't bother them.
Well,
Years and years and years went on,
And they'd always tie up the cat before meditating.
Well,
Eventually that cat passed away.
The people that were currently tying up the cat were no longer part of that initial reasoning of tying up the cat.
And so they found a new cat,
And they would tie that cat up,
And it became a ritual before meditation to tie up this cat.
And nobody stopped to ask,
You know,
Why?
Why are we tying up this cat?
They just,
You know,
It was steeped in ritual.
It's the way it had always been done,
And so they did it.
So what I'm hearing is pay attention in the month of April to things that you have been taught,
Either through culture,
Through your upbringing,
Through conditioning,
Things that don't actually serve your higher purpose.
One of the examples would be things like gender roles,
That sometimes,
You know,
In the past,
Certain things served certain ways of being that aren't always the same anymore.
And so,
Again,
I'm not saying throw the baby out with the bathwater here.
What I'm saying is we're being asked to examine how are you being held back by some of the rooted,
Conditioned beliefs that you have,
And how can you analyze those a little bit to allow yourself to grow.
The other image in the cup is a work desk,
And this work desk is like covered with stuff that needs to get done.
Layers and layers of stuff,
And on top of the desk is a scale,
A balance scale,
And the balance is tipped in one direction,
And there's something on it that's heavy.
What I'm hearing about this is that for the month of April,
Really pay attention to your work-life balance.
You all have to work.
We have to get stuff done.
Work is not always roses.
There's lots of things every day that we don't like to do,
But we have to do.
But what I'm hearing is just pay attention to work-life balance.
Is there a limit that can be set in terms of getting things done versus,
You know,
Genuinely enjoying your life?
That there is two sides to that coin.
You know,
It's productivity and getting things done and paying the bills and whatnot,
But then it's also making sure that your life is rich and meaningful and shared with others.
The other image that is in the cup is a little airplane,
And what I'm hearing for that,
Generally when people do divination with teacups,
Which I don't do,
Airplanes are like,
Oh,
Travel.
Well,
In this case,
It's in the middle of the cup.
What I'm hearing is recognize that we belong to a global community.
Recognize that it's time in the month of April to outstretch your understanding a little bit.
So that might mean travel.
That might mean going somewhere that you haven't gone before,
But it's also about being open,
Seeing what you can learn.
Learn about other cultures.
Learn about other beliefs.
Not from a place of judgment and disdain and,
Oh,
They're not like me,
But genuinely open to what can I learn from people that have a completely different way of life and belief system than me.
So I'm hearing expand your global horizons in the month of April.
Open yourself up to learning experiences and opportunities that are going to broaden your horizons and create an even more beautiful and more diverse and more loving,
Accepting global community.
That's all for the teacup for the month of April.
I wish you an absolutely fabulous month and we'll reconvene back here for the month of May.
