Beauty doesn't need to shout to be loud.
Yesterday I found the most beautiful pastel highlighters.
No,
They weren't the neon shades that demand attention,
Yet they drew me in instantly.
As soon as I got home,
I opened my sketchbook,
Drew some shapes,
And let those colors flow across the page.
It reminded me that not every moment in life needs to be bold to have meaning.
Often the softest experiences,
The quiet conversations,
The steady faith,
The act of kindness no one sees,
Those can make the deepest impact.
Today we'll slow down together and explore how gentle moments can create powerful change.
Close your eyes if you can.
Move your shoulders away from your ears.
Let your hands rest softly.
Maybe in your lap or over your heart.
With each exhale,
Let go of the need to perform or be on.
Right now you are enough.
This moment doesn't need to be louder to matter.
Notice your surroundings.
What can you hear?
What can you feel on your skin or beneath your feet?
Perhaps you notice a scent,
A sound.
Hold this detail in your awareness for a few breaths.
Picture yourself holding a brush dipped in your favorite colors,
Perhaps lavender,
Mint,
Or peach.
With each stroke,
You're painting peace across your mind and body.
The color flows from your thoughts down your neck,
Across your shoulders,
Into your arms,
Chest,
And all the way to your feet.
Feel it washing away any tension,
Leaving calm in its place.
Invite God into this space,
Asking him to help you notice beauty in what is soft,
Subtle,
And understated.
Remember the words from the scripture 1 Kings 19.
12,
And after the fire came a gentle whisper.
Strength doesn't always come in noise and drama.
Sometimes the most powerful presence is the quiet one.
Silently repeat after me,
I am grounded in this moment.
I welcome peace into my body and mind.
I choose clarity over chaos.
I am enough exactly as I am.
Each step I take is grounded in calm confidence.
Peace fuels my momentum.
As you return to your day,
Carry these gentle colors with you.
Remember,
Quiet confidence speaks volumes.
You don't need to rush or shout to make an impact.
Take one more slow breath in and out.
You are grounded.
You are clear.
You are exactly where you belong.
