Bedtime with Mrs.
Honeybee Today we'll be exploring the world of Animal Crossing.
All you have to do is close your eyes,
Get cozy,
And listen to the sound of my voice.
Mrs.
Honeybee will be your guide.
Let's begin.
You give a big stretch as you step out of your little home.
It's another beautiful morning in your cozy village.
You hear the chirps of little birds in the trees all around you.
And you feel relaxed,
Knowing that your little friends are watching over you.
Through the fruit trees that grow between the houses in the village,
You can see your animal neighbors going about their morning as well.
A little squirrel is looking on the ground for something,
Maybe an acorn.
There are a few gray clouds in the sky,
And the wind is a little cool when it blows across your face.
But it's still a perfect day to go exploring.
You grab your net and take a good look around.
Do you see any beautiful butterflies?
Your net is light and easy to swing as you wander through the woods.
The breeze rustles the tree leaves,
But you can still hear the faint flap of small wings.
A butterfly is nearby.
It flies from the top of the tree down towards you,
Then swoops back up and flies ahead.
The little yellow butterfly is fast,
But so are you.
You quickly,
But quietly follow him through the forest.
As carefully and slowly as possible,
You lift your net and begin to sneak toward the little yellow butterfly.
When you finally get close enough,
You swing your net.
You've done it!
You do a happy victory dance and then look at your butterfly.
It's so cute and small,
Its wings happily flap as it gazes back at you.
Whoa!
You caught a butterfly,
Gasps an elephant from nearby.
Opal,
One of your animal neighbors,
Walks closer.
With a cheerful nod,
You hold the butterfly out for Opal to see.
You're so great at bug catching.
Do you think I might be able to have that butterfly?
I'll treat it very nicely,
She says.
I've always wanted a butterfly as a pet.
You happily hand over the butterfly.
Opal looks so grateful.
She thanks you again and then heads back toward her house with the butterfly.
Now,
What should you do?
You look around your village again before spotting a blue river nearby.
You can hear the stream bubbling merrily.
In the water,
You see the black shadow of a fish.
Quickly,
You pull out your fishing pole.
You cast the line near the fish and hold your breath.
The fish nibbles once and then twice before biting down on your line.
You manage to pull the line back just in time.
You've caught the fish.
Not only did you manage to catch a butterfly,
But you got a big fish too.
As you're heading back toward your house,
You notice Rex the lion,
Looking thoughtfully,
Looking down at something strange in the ground.
Check this out,
He says,
When you come closer.
He points at the ground.
There's a funny mark here shaped like a star.
Do you think something is buried there?
I wonder what it could be.
There's only one way to find out.
With your heavy and strong shovel,
You're easily able to dig down into the dirt.
When you pick the shovel back up,
You realize you've found a fossil.
That's amazing,
Says Rex as he claps his hands.
You are the best fossil hunter in the village.
You grin and tuck the fossil in your pocket.
You'll have to swing by the museum to donate it.
That way,
Everyone in the village can see all the cool things you've found.
You look around and wonder which way is the museum.
Just then,
A friendly person from your village happens to be walking by.
You ask them how to get to the museum.
They point north and you begin on your way.
You walk by many beautiful flowers and plants on your journey,
And you are enjoying taking in their beauty.
You get lost in the colors of the leaves and the sounds of the little critters all around you.
You soon arrive at the museum and turn over your fossil.
They are so happy to see you.
The museum will review the fossil and will mail you a letter telling you what kind of dinosaur it came from.
Suddenly,
You realize that the sun is going down already.
You've spent the whole day exploring your village.
With a sleepy yawn,
You head back home.
You'd better rest up because you'll have lots more exploring to do tomorrow.
Always remember that Mrs.
Honeybee believes in you.
You are special and you are loved.
I can't wait to see you again.
