Honeybee Today we'll be exploring the world of Bluey.
All you have to do is close your eyes,
Get cozy,
And listen to the sound of my voice.
Mrs.
Honeybee will be your guide.
Let's begin.
Your footsteps tap excitedly against the sidewalk as you make your way through the city.
You are in Brisbane,
Australia,
Home to our favorite little dog,
Bluey.
The buildings are very tall and cheery,
Sunlight glitters against the windows.
You can hardly believe that you really are in Brisbane.
The city is so big and new.
Thankfully,
You have your pal Bluey to show you around.
Bluey is so excited to take you down to the water and show you the boats.
These boats are big and there are so many of them parked and riding along the Brisbane River.
You wave to the captain of a boat as he rides by and he waves back.
Bluey smiles at you and you are so happy to be here in Australia,
Observing the sights and sounds.
Bluey barks and you look up just as an enormous boat with a rainbow-colored sail rides by you.
You wave to the boat and the captain honks the horn.
You dip your feet into the river and let the cool tide rush over your toes.
It feels so nice and refreshing.
Bluey tells you that she's very excited because today is her sister Bingo's birthday party.
She barks happily and runs in circles as you remove your feet from the water and chase her around.
You catch Bluey and you both fall next to each other on the grass,
Staring up at the sky.
Bingo is going to be so happy to see you,
Bluey says,
Still staring at the sky.
We just have to find the perfect birthday present before her party starts.
You ask what time the party starts and Bluey says five o'clock.
Well then,
I guess we better hurry,
You say,
As Bluey jumps on your back and you both head toward the shop across the street.
You look thoughtfully around the shop.
There are lots of neat things in there.
Little toys and trinkets,
Special dog treats.
You think you can find a great gift for Bingo in no time.
You pick up a pretty collar first.
It's made of red fabric and it looks really nice,
But the fabric is a bit scratchy under your fingers.
That won't do,
Bluey says.
You put the collar back and begin looking for another gift.
Then something catches your eye.
Underneath a mound of fluffy toys,
You pull out a big chew toy.
It's bigger than your hand and shaped like a bone.
It feels perfectly smooth when you pick it up.
You give it a squeeze and it squeaks loudly.
Bluey trots over and begins to wag her tail.
That's perfect,
She says excitedly.
Her tail is wagging even faster now.
Bingo will love that chew toy.
We have to give it to her for her birthday.
You nod eagerly.
Bingo will definitely enjoy this chew bow.
When you buy the toy,
The nice lady behind the cash register wraps it up for you.
The wrapping paper is shiny and the same color blue as the sky.
The bow on top is white and puffy like a cloud.
Eager to get to the birthday party and give your present to Bingo,
You and Bluey rush back to Bluey's house.
As you get closer to the house,
You can hear music playing from the backyard.
When you head back there,
All of Bingo and Bluey's friends have arrived.
On a table surrounded by lots of other wrapped presents is a tall,
Yummy looking cake.
You can almost taste the sweet frosting.
Bingo calls Bluey.
We bought you something.
Thank you for coming to my birthday,
Bingo says to you with a big smile.
Is that present for me?
You nod and happily hand over the gift.
Bluey's tail is wagging again.
She can't wait for Bingo to open her present.
She slowly pulls back the paper and it crinkles beneath her paws.
Bingo gasps when she sees the chew toy.
This is the best gift I've ever gotten,
She says excitedly.
Wow!
You did such a great job picking this present.
Only the best gift for the best little sister chuckles,
Bluey.
Bingo hugs you both.
Now let's have some cake,
She says.
This is the best party I've ever had.
Bingo is right,
This really is the best party.
Not just because you found Bingo a great present,
But because you got to spend it with some great friends too.
You,
Bluey and Bingo each get a big slice of delicious chocolate cake.
Before Bluey starts eating,
She smiles at you and says,
Thanks for all the help today.
You smile at Bluey and say,
That's what friends are for.
Always remember that Mrs.
Honeybee believes in you.
You are special and you are loved.
