Remembering that each part of you, acknowledged without judgment, heals on its own time. A leaf does not struggle to stay attached to the tree. It simply lets go when it is time. In the same way allowing your thoughts and feelings about past addictions to drift away. Observing thoughts as they are in this moment. Knowing that with time, all of these thoughts will pass away.

Transcript

Welcome to this guided meditation where we will gently focus on releasing the grasp of old addictions.

There is nothing you need to do right now,

Nowhere you need to be.

Simply being right here,

Right now is enough.

Acknowledging that you are not alone on this journey and on this journey it is okay to feel whatever arises,

Allowing your body to settle into comfort,

Letting your eyes soften and close if they have not already.

Taking a deep breath in and letting it out gently,

Bringing your awareness to your feet for a moment,

Noticing the support underneath your feet,

Holding you in this very moment.

Noticing any sensations that may be present with your feet right now.

Whatever you notice in this moment is perfectly okay.

Remembering that each part of you,

Acknowledged without judgment,

Heals on its own time,

Like a tree that stands firm at its roots,

Allowing yourself to just be here as you are.

Your true nature remains unchanging despite the changing sensations you experience,

Allowing your awareness to settle onto your breath,

Noticing the natural rhythm of your breath in and your breath out,

Feeling the air moving through your body as it rises and falls away with your exhale.

Breathing in,

Acknowledging you are here.

Breathing out,

Acknowledging you are enough.

This simple moment is enough.

A leaf does not struggle to stay attached to the tree.

It simply lets go when it is time.

In the same way,

Allowing your thoughts and feelings about past addictions to drift away,

Allowing your focus to shift onto your mind,

Noticing any thoughts that arise without trying to change them or push them away,

Observing the thoughts as they are in this moment,

Knowing that with time,

All of these thoughts will pass away.

It is okay if you are noticing your thoughts stir up your emotions in this moment,

Like the sky makes room for all the clouds,

You too making room for all of your feelings,

Letting the stillness of your mind reflect the depth of your true wisdom,

Allowing your awareness to come back into the room and the space around you,

Feeling the weight of your body on the surface beneath you.

Just as a river eventually merges with an ocean,

So too will your journey lead you to peace and understanding.

As you feel ready,

Gently allowing your eyes to open,

Moving through your day with ease and grace,

Being aware and at peace.
