Gratitude and Compassion practice can totally change the way we see the world and move through it. Whatever we focus on regularly becomes the way we see the world. This is a short exercise you can do every day, ideal for first thing in the morning. I kept it short and succinct in order to show that we can also go into that space when we do not have so much time. If this feels too rushed try out a longer practice first. The more we remind ourselves how many things we have in our lives to be grateful for the more we notice things we can be grateful for. Happiness can sometimes come from an easy shift, from noticing all the great things in our lives. Compassion practice is a daily practice to be of service for ourselves and others - to create a mental habit to wish everyone well - if we want to be more compassionate, we can just develop compassion by practicing it. In the beginning, it might feel weird but one day you might notice that you feel different about yourself and others.

Gratitude and compassion practice.

So this one is a practice that you can do every day and it's basically a short version of what you will also see in the course.

And it's super easy and you can do it every day very quickly and still very profound.

So I like to do gratitude and affirmation and compassion practice before I do anything else in the morning.

So I'm still lying in bed and doing it there.

But you can also do it after you have done some yoga practice or gym practice or just before you really like actually leave the house to go to work.

Find a spot and sit there and make your spine straight.

Close your eyes and take three very deep breaths deeply into your nose and out to your mouth.

Deeply into your nose and out to your mouth.

Now bring to your attention at least three things that you are grateful for in your life or maybe just today.

Things that you are just really happy to have in your life and and you just want to say thank you to this.

And now give yourself compassion.

May I be happy.

May I live a life in peace.

May I be loved.

And now you include others.

May all beings be happy and may all my words and actions contribute to the happiness.

And bring your attention back to your breath.

Take a deep inhale and open your eyes.

This one you can obviously do much longer but I wanted to show you a practice that is super easy and therefore easy to integrate into your day-to-day life.

I'm doing this every day after my yoga practice and it reminds me every time to be kind to myself and also to look into my actions and words for others.

At the same time gratefulness really helped me to see what I am grateful for in my life.

So many things just shifted through focusing more on things that I was grateful for.
