Welcome to your Cancer Season Meditation.
Begin seated or lying down.
Get yourself completely comfortable.
You can use pillows or blankets if you want.
Whatever will help you ease into a state of total relaxation.
Keep a nice long spine wherever you are.
Place the backs of your hands on your knees to open up your chest.
Close your eyes.
Turn your attention inward.
Notice your breath as it flows in and out of your nostrils.
After your next inhale,
Exhale completely.
Move into Ujjayi Pranayama.
Take a slow,
Steady breath in through your nose.
Feel the air moving across the roof of your mouth,
Making a very subtle sound.
Fill your chest completely.
Exhale slowly and deeply.
Notice a gentle H-A sound as you empty.
Breathe in,
Fill up.
Breathe out.
Inhale in.
Empty out.
Continue with this breath.
Imagine yourself on a warm beach.
Feel the sand beneath your feet as the salt water crashes over them.
Feel the warmth of the bright summer sun shining down on you.
A sense of relaxation.
Let yourself slowly move into the water.
The gentle waves lapping at you as you make your way further out.
Let yourself float on the water.
Feel it wrap itself around you.
Feeling weightlessness as the water rocks you.
In this space,
You're safe.
You can let go.
Allow the water to hold you.
To heal you.
Let yourself feel entirely at ease.
Cared for.
Loved.
Feel the waves gently carry you back toward the shore.
Lulling you into a deeper sense of peacefulness.
As you make your way back onto the beach,
Let yourself rest on the sand.
Smell the salt air.
Breathe deeply.
Begin to gently move your hands and your feet.
Give yourself a nice big stretch.
When you feel ready,
Open your eyes.
