Hello and welcome.
Take a moment to make yourself comfortable,
Perhaps lighting a candle,
Burning some incense,
Setting up an altar for your healing,
Using crystals,
Candles,
Tarot cards,
Mementos,
Special letters,
Things like that.
Just set up your own sacred space.
Find your place and create the space that you wish to practice this new moon energy healing in.
As you do so,
Find yourself into a comfortable,
Relaxed yet also alert position.
The spine straight and shoulders relaxed away from the ears.
This could be seated,
Standing or lying down.
We'll start here for just a moment or two of awareness meditation to allow us to drop in to our meditative state.
After a couple of moments of clearing the mind and dropping in,
I'll begin the energy healing process which is grounded in the principles of Reiki,
The Japanese word for energy healing.
Take your time dropping in,
Settling down,
Letting the breath be soft and gentle.
Mindfully aware of the breath,
Yet not trying to change it or direct it in any particular way.
Forming an alliance with the breath and with the body,
Connecting the mind to the body to the breath.
Just take another moment or two here to continue settling,
Clearing the mind and allowing ourselves to invite in the distractions rather than trying to push them out.
Reminiscent of the poem by Rumi,
The guest house in which we invite in these unwanted thoughts and we make them a home,
We give them a space to sleep and naturally they start to dissipate on their own.
Invite in those distractions,
Give them a place to sit,
Pour them a cup of tea and just be with them instead of trying to make them go away.
Beginning the New Moon Energy Healing,
Now you may choose to repeat these affirmations either silently or aloud.
Just for today I will not be angry.
Just for today I will not worry.
Just for today I will give thanks for my many blessings.
Just for today I will do my work honestly.
Just for today I will be kind to my neighbor in every living thing.
Allowing the affirmations to resonate in your mind's eye.
Just allow it to reverberate throughout the body.
I will now place the Reiki power symbol into this meditation as well as the distance healing symbol so that no matter what time or day in the future that you may be listening to this recording,
The energy healing will make its way to you.
So perhaps placing one hand on the heart and one hand on the belly,
Sending the energy into energy centers,
Heart,
Solar plexus,
Seful center and the root.
Consider these our lower chakras,
The earthly chakras is connected here in the physical realm.
And again starting at the heart center scanning up with the throat,
Third eye and the crown chakra centers are spiritual,
Heavenly,
Open awareness chakra centers.
Integrating spiritual and physical and forming an alliance between the healing energy in our bodies.
We'll allow the energy of the heart of love and forgiveness,
Peace of mind into the energy of the other chakra centers.
Bathing in love,
Forgiveness and total acceptance.
When you're ready,
You start to bring both hands together in front of the center of the chest,
Just feeling any sensations in the palms of the hands as they come together.
And then gently drop the forehead towards the tips of the fingers,
Infusing the contents of the mind with the qualities of the heart,
Love,
Forgiveness and acceptance.
Inhaling to rise and allowing the hands to drop wherever they lie.
Perhaps opening the eyes and bringing a gentle smile to your face and thanking the reiki spirit energy for guiding us in this practice today.

Feel free to stay here in your meditative state for as long as you wish.
When you feel ready to come out,
Be sure to take a moment to ground down,
Releasing any toxins or residual unnecessary energies out from the hands or through the feet down into the earth,
Just touching the ground in some way to help you feel grounded after this experience.
Perhaps taking a moment to journal about your intentions for this upcoming new moon,
This new cycle that is beginning,
The lunar cycle,
And just being really gentle with yourself as you go on throughout the rest of your day.
Drink plenty of water.
