Taking all the time you need to get comfortable.
This is a meditation for when you need to be held,
When you need someone else to take the strain or to remind you that it will all be okay.
As you sit or lay now,
Invite yourself to let go of everything that has come before,
Everything that has come before this breath now.
Just imagining that you are tethering,
Releasing the tether to what has come before and detaching from whatever may come next,
So that you can arrive into this moment however it feels.
And perhaps right now it all feels too much,
Too hard,
Too raw.
So in this moment,
Bring your attention to your breath,
Closing your eyes if you haven't already done so,
Finding your breath as you expand and release.
And as you expand,
Feel your torso,
Your chest,
Your lungs expand.
As you breathe out,
Feeling the softening,
The invitation to relax and let go.
As you breathe out,
Allow yourself to become aware of whatever is supporting you,
The chair,
The bed,
The floor.
Notice all the contact points,
All the places you are being held.
And then notice all the points where there is space.
Notice the light and dark behind your eyes,
The sounds in this room and then beyond your room or the space that you are in.
And then come back to the sound of your breath,
The rise and the fall,
The ebb and the flow.
Bring all of your attention into your breath now.
Allow all of your awareness to rise within you on each in-breath and to float and sink and soften on each out-breath,
As if you are becoming your breath,
Just rising and falling.
Right now,
This alone may be hard to do.
Perhaps you've had one of those days where you've just bumped up against yourself all day,
Where the raw,
Jagged edges of you feel permanently visible.
And exposed and there's nowhere to hide.
And your nervous system is frazzled and your mind on overdrive.
And so in this moment,
When we so deeply need to be held,
Let us call in the Divine Mother.
And even if you don't truly,
Really understand the sense of these words,
You can still call her in.
And the essence,
The consciousness,
The energy of this Great Mother,
With so much love,
So much holding capacity,
So much trust and belief in who you are,
She will still come.
You have only to call her,
For she is just a part of you,
For she is just a part of you that you have forgotten.
And so in this moment,
I invite you to call in the Divine Mother,
To re-invite her to be with you now.
And allow the essence of her being,
All of her unconditional loving,
Her gentleness and her compassion,
Allow this energy to envelope you completely.
As if sinking into a cloud of it,
Feeling it all around you,
As if placing kisses on every jagged edge of you,
A salve,
A soothing lotion,
That your nervous system may relax.
And as you call her in now,
You may feel or sense her presence around you,
As she holds you,
Reassures you,
Without judgement or criticism or wanting you to be anything different than who you are in this moment,
Accepting all of you.
And as you feel yourself being held,
So allow yourself to be held,
Soften against her softness,
Allow the rough edges to dissolve,
Let go,
Let go,
Dear one,
Let go,
Dear one of all that keeps those rough edges in place,
Release them,
Allow them to dissolve,
To transmute,
To be breathed out of you,
To drain out of you,
For you are held,
You are so divinely held,
And you are safe,
And you are loved,
You are safe,
And you are loved,
And you are held,
You are always held within the arms of the divine.
And so allowing yourself in this moment to surrender and soften and be truly held like the sacred divine child that you are,
And breathe here,
As she holds you in her arms,
Caresses your head,
Your shoulders,
Lets you know that you are loved,
You breathe it in,
You soak it up,
To all those places where you had forgotten,
You just allow yourself to feel truly safe and loved,
Knowing that you can call on the divine mother whenever you need to.
There is no need to do this meditation,
For she is always with you,
She is always by your side,
And so I invite you to stay here within her sanctuary for as long as you need,
Until you feel more you,
Until you feel ready to face the world again.
You are blessed dear one,
You are blessed.
