Wherever you are,
Wherever you find yourself in this moment,
See if you can settle yourself into a comfortable position with your shoulders down and your chest open.
As you close your eyes and begin to draw inwards,
See if you can set your intention for the next little while to really drop into this space with a view to letting go of the stress,
The worry,
The tension and see if you can open up to receiving a little joy in this moment.
And so from behind your closed eyes,
Beginning to draw your awareness to what you can see,
Different shades of dark and light.
Gently shift your awareness to the weight of your body,
Noticing those parts of you that connect with the surface you may be sitting or lying on.
What sounds arrive to your ears in this moment,
Simply noticing what's arriving.
And as you inhale,
Bringing your awareness to any smells or fragrances around you,
Wherever you find yourself.
And beginning now to notice your breath,
Knowing your breath is always there to support you,
To return to.
Simply noticing how your breath is flowing as you breathe in through your nose and out through your nose,
Creating a beautiful smooth turn between your in-breath and your out-breath and stay here for the next few breaths.
And now visualise or sense the presence of a beautiful warm ray of light beginning to surround you,
Radiating its warmth across the whole of your body,
Inviting your body to soften and relax.
Beginning with your face,
Allow this light so warm,
So bright to radiate across your forehead,
Your cheeks,
Your jaw.
Flowing down now across your shoulders and down your arms,
Warming into your hands.
Feeling or sensing this ray of light radiating across the whole of your back.
Flowing over your chest now,
Your abdomen.
Warming and relaxing down your legs and into your feet so that the whole of your body is surrounded by this warm,
Delicious light.
Notice what this feels like for you.
You may sense or feel this light beginning to gently lift your spirit,
Allowing any worry,
Any tension,
Any boredom to dissolve.
And take yourself out now to a beautiful,
Warm,
Safe beach.
This may be a place you visited before or perhaps somewhere new.
Whatever arrives for you is perfect.
There are waves lapping at the shoreline,
A warm,
Fragrant breeze on the air,
The happy sound of music playing in the background.
How does this feel for you?
You might like to find somewhere to sit or lay down perhaps on the warm sand or in a hammock and invite these warm,
Joyful feelings or sensations now to wash over you.
You might even ask yourself,
If I could find something joyful in my day to day,
What might that be?
How might that look?
And more importantly,
How might that feel?
Stay here a while,
Allow these warm feelings and sensations to wash over you.
It can be so stressful holding onto the heaviness,
The worry,
The boredom.
Stay here for a while in this warm,
Uplifting place,
Enjoy.
