Welcome to this energizing and uplifting morning meditation practice.
Let's spend the next couple of minutes opening our hearts and setting ourselves in a mood and mindset that we wish to carry throughout our day.
You can begin by finding a comfortable position.
Sit in a way that feels relaxing and wakeful.
Keep your back straight,
Chest open and gently soften any tension that you notice in the body.
Relax your forehead,
Jaw,
Your tongue.
Relax your shoulders,
Allow your hands to gently rest in your lap and make any last movements needed in order to find the most comfortable position for you this morning.
Softly close your eyes or if that's too much for now,
Soften your gaze and look at something neutral like a wall or the floor.
Now let's take a couple of deep breaths here.
On the inhale,
Try to stretch up your spine and find some alertness and on the exhale settle in deeper and soften the body.
Repeat this for a couple of times on your own.
You can lengthen your breath by counting to five for each inhale and five for each exhale and if it feels comfortable you can extend this count to six.
Six for each inhale and six for each exhale.
You can now allow your breath to flow naturally without trying to control it in any way and quickly scan through your body.
Notice if there is anything different than from the beginning of this practice.
Is there more energy present in the body?
After taking those deep breaths and fueling your body with oxygen,
Is there somewhere in your body that you can still sense sleepiness,
Tiredness?
And with each breath see if you can notice your attitude.
Notice if you're allowing yourself to sit in a way that feels relaxed and open and remind yourself that it is okay to ease into this experience.
Make a commitment to yourself not to get concerned when you experience unwanted distractions,
Thoughts and feelings.
To be open to anything that arises.
You are aware that all of this is fine and you're allowing all of these experiences to be here with you.
Follow each breath and explore what does the sensation of breathing really feel like in your body.
Get really curious about it and know that it is completely normal for distractions to arise.
I am certain that they already have.
Your own commentary or criticism,
A niche or a discomfort in the body,
A trip to memory lane or a future plan.
This is what minds do.
There is nothing more human than that.
What you can do here now is to allow it to happen without analyzing,
Chasing,
Holding on to anything.
Even though the impulse to do so can be quite strong.
Just let it pass and come back to your breath and appreciate yourself in that very moment because you changed the ongoing narrative and refocused your awareness back to your breath.
Now take a moment here to recognize the energy that you wish to start with today.
Is this energy inviting?
Open.
Explore what does this potential feel like in your body.
Explore how you wish to go about today.
How do you intend to encounter adversity or savor positive experiences?
How does your attitude look like?
Allow a gentle smile to arise and silently or out loud repeat after me.
I am right where I need to be.
I am enough today and always.
I am accepting of who I am right now.
I am at ease with the things that are out of my control.
I am open to love and joy.
I am courageous.
I am worthy of what I desire.
I am standing in my truth.
I have the power to create change.
Everything I do for myself is out of love.
I completely trust myself.
Beautiful.
Now stay in this juicy feeling of loving vibrations in your body for a moment.
Soaking it all in.
Allow yourself to feel good about yourself and allow a smile to be present.
You can now slowly and gently allow your attention to expand.
Notice the room you're in.
Become aware of your whole body.
Stretch in any way that feels comfortable.
Maybe move your fingers or toes.
Whenever you're ready,
Softly open your eyes.
Thank you for choosing to start your day with me.
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
