Hello,
Sweet soul.
Welcome to Mindful Mini Meditation,
Designed to help children cultivate mindfulness and emotional well-being.
In this session,
We will be practicing a mindful meditation called Animal Friend.
We will use our imagination to explore a peaceful forest where we'll meet some animal friends.
I invite you to find a comfortable seated position,
Anchoring down and getting tall through your spine all the way.
When you found your cozy position,
When you're comfortable,
Wiggle around,
Shift,
Getting a little bit more cozy.
Now close your eyes and take a deep breath in,
Breathing in through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth and take a deep breath in,
Breathing in all the way.
As you exhale,
Exhale out very slow.
Let's do that one more time.
Big breath in,
Exhale nice and slow.
Now I invite you to imagine that you're walking through a peaceful forest.
You feel the soft ground beneath your feet and hear the gentle rustling of leaves and the breeze.
As you walk through this forest,
You feel safe.
You notice some animal friends nearby.
They seem very friendly and welcoming.
Approach one of these animals and introduce yourself.
It could be a rabbit,
A deer,
A squirrel,
Or any animal that you like.
Take a moment and say hello and make a friend.
Perhaps this animal offers you a smile or a nod or a little paw to shake.
Imagine that you can communicate with this animal through your thoughts and feelings.
What does this animal say to you?
Take a deep breath in and imagine that you're breathing in the peaceful energy of the forest.
And as you exhale,
Feel any worries or tensions melting away.
Allow yourself to be fully present in this peaceful moment with your new animal friend.
You're exploring the forest with your animal friend.
You run and you jump and you play together.
You feel happy.
You feel free and you feel alive.
You can sense that your animal friend is happy too.
As you continue to explore,
You notice that there are more animals in the forest.
You see birds flying above,
Butterflies fluttering by,
And other animals doing their daily business.
You feel connected to all of them.
You feel grateful.
You feel present.
Take one more deep breath.
Slowly exhale out.
When you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes and remember that you can always come back to this peaceful forest with your animal friends.
Namaste,
Sweet soul.
