Hey everyone and welcome to our meditation for emotional balance.
To begin,
Find your way into a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down if that feels right for you.
Simply close the eyes and begin noticing the rhythm and flow of your breath.
Today we're going to focus on emotional balance through bringing the breath,
Body,
And mind into harmony.
As your breath flows through you,
Think about how amazing the breath truly is.
On average,
We take 17,
000 breaths per day.
Each new breath represents a renewal,
A chance to reset ourselves,
To come back home to ourselves,
To make peace with the moment in front of us,
And to turn inward.
Follow the rising and falling sensation of each breath.
Now,
We're going to take a deep breath in and out.
Now tune in to the body.
Notice the sensation of your skin meeting the ground.
Give permission to each and every part of you to sink deeply into the earth.
Allow the earth to support you during this practice.
Notice your breath to send renewal into each part of the body,
Inviting in a sense of total comfort and relaxation.
Now,
Let's take a deep breath in and out.
Begin slowly scanning up and down the body,
Beginning at the bottom of the feet,
Up through the legs,
Into the hips,
The belly,
The back,
The arms,
The shoulders,
The neck,
And the head.
And now reverse.
Working with the head,
Down the neck and shoulders,
The arms,
The back,
The belly,
Down through the hips,
The legs,
And finally through the feet.
You are completely supported here.
You're free to fully relax,
Unwind,
And release.
Make yourself at home.
Notice the space in your body that has been created.
Notice the sense of ease and stability.
Now,
We're going to turn our head.
We're going to turn our attention to the mind.
A poet by the name of Nayyirah Waheed wrote these words that I want to share with you.
Be easy.
Take your time.
You are coming home to yourself.
Be easy.
Take your time.
You are coming home to yourself.
You are coming home to yourself.
Our body,
Our breath,
And our mind,
This is where we live.
Yet,
Sometimes we forget to declutter the space within.
We can use our meditation practice to do this.
With your next few rounds of breath,
Repeat these words silently to yourself.
I am here.
I am whole.
I am free.
I am here.
I am whole.
I am free.
Now,
Place both of your hands over your heart.
Thank yourself for showing up to your practice today.
Know that it was an act of love and nurturing just for you.
Take a few smooth,
Deep breaths.
And when you're ready,
Release your hands.
Begin coming back to the room.
Taking as much time as you need to finish your practice.
Thank you for joining me for our session today.
I'll talk to you soon.
