Hello and welcome to my guided meditation to overcome procrastination.
My name is Mila and today I will be your guide to help you release the stress and unlock the cycle of your procrastination.
Let's begin by acknowledging the process that is happening within your mind.
Thank your procrastination for helping you achieve peace of mind by distracting you from stressful situations.
Procrastination has become your defense,
Helping you avoid stress and feelings of failure.
Even though it seems to be a very useful mechanism,
It does create unwanted consequences such as more stress and more anxiety.
Procrastination becomes a cycle of you fearing failure and not doing your best,
Therefore you begin to stop yourself from doing anything at all.
Sometimes procrastination happens when you have to do things you are not passionate about and things you do not care about.
Either way it creates a cycle of pain and no matter how much you try and break it,
You will only be forcing yourself more into it.
And by forcing yourself into it,
You're hurting yourself and putting a lot of pressure.
Doing this to yourself is not the most kindest way you can treat yourself.
It can be compared to betraying oneself.
But today I will help you loosen the grip of perfection and help you forgive and accept yourself.
Now let's begin the guided meditation to help you unlock the vicious cycle.
Start by slowly breathing in and out.
With each breath in,
Feel your anxious thoughts evaporating and with each breath out,
Your mind becomes clear,
Thought free.
You are starting to feel more and more relaxed and at peace.
Feel a soft yellow light filling up your body.
This light spreads into your arms,
Legs and your head.
This light fills you up with hope,
Peace and love.
The more it spreads,
The lighter you become,
Letting go of all your expectations.
Imagine the light pushing all the expectations.
You have for yourself out of your system,
Leaving you with peace and tranquility.
Keep slowly breathing in and out,
Allowing the yellow light to fill your body completely.
Now that you feel light,
At peace and with no expectations of yourself,
Repeat these affirmations after me in your mind.
I release the need to be perfect,
As perfection does not exist.
I embrace imperfection as a natural part of the learning process.
Mistakes are opportunities for growth and I welcome them with open arms.
I let go of the expectations placed on me by others.
Criticism from others does not define my worth or abilities.
I am confident in my decisions and abilities,
Regardless of others opinions.
I trust myself to make the best choices for my own path.
I am capable of achieving my goals at my own pace.
I release the fear of failure and embrace the lessons it brings.
Every failure brings with it the seed of an equivalent success.
I am deserving of success and fulfillment.
I believe in my ability to overcome challenges.
I release the weight of parental expectations and embrace my own unique path.
I let go of the need to seek approval from others,
Including my parents.
I am worthy of love and acceptance,
Regardless of others opinions.
I release the burden of past criticism and forgive myself for any perceived shortcomings.
I am deserving of compassion and understanding,
Especially from myself.
I honor my feelings and emotions,
Knowing they are valid and worthy of acknowledgement.
I release the need to live up to unrealistic standards set by others.
I am enough just as I am,
Regardless of any external judgments or expectations.
I embrace my imperfections as part of what makes me beautifully human.
I release the need for validation from others,
Finding validation within myself.
I am worthy of happiness.
I am worthy of peace.
Sense of peace fills my body and helps me be present.
I let go of the belief that I must be perfect to be worthy of love and acceptance.
I am deserving of kindness and compassion.
I am enough just as I am and I am worthy of all the love and abundance life has to offer.
I embrace the freedom to be authentically me.
I trust in my own worthiness.
I am deserving of all the blessings life has to offer simply by being myself.
I let go of the belief that I must earn love and acceptance through perfection.
I accept myself fully,
Including my flaws and imperfections,
Because they make me who I am.
I forgive myself for any mistakes I've made in the past.
I release any guilt or shame I may carry from past actions.
Guilt and shame occupy no space in my life.
I forgive my parents for any pain they may have caused me,
Knowingly or unknowingly.
I accept that my parents did the best they could with the tools they had at the time.
I release the need to blame myself or my parents for past hurts and choose to focus on healing.
I accept that forgiveness is a gift I give to myself,
Freeing me from the burden of resentment.
I forgive myself for not always living up to my own expectations.
I slowly release the expectations.
I release any self-judgement and choose to be gentle with myself.
I accept that forgiveness is a process and I allow myself the time and space to fully heal.
I forgive myself for any self-critical thoughts or beliefs I may hold.
I release the need to punish myself for past mistakes and instead choose to learn and grow from them.
I accept that I am worthy of love and forgiveness,
Both from myself and from others.
I embrace a peaceful mindset as I approach my upcoming tasks.
I release the need for perfection as I am back on my projects.
Instead,
I embrace the approach of taking small steps,
Knowing that progress is made through consistency and effort.
Mistakes are a natural part of growth and I welcome them with open arms.
I forgive myself for any missteps along the way,
Understanding that each mistake is an opportunity for learning and improvement.
If I find myself striving for perfection,
I will grant myself permission to proceed imperfectly,
Trusting that I can refine and correct as I go.
The universe supports me in this journey of letting go of perfectionism and procrastination.
Now,
Taking a deep breath in and out,
I invite you to slowly open your eyes,
Carrying with you a sense of peace and empowerment as you continue forward on your path.
