This is a short guided meditation for the full moon. Harness the power of the full moon with this meditation to aid you in releasing physical and emotional tension, anything that no longer serves you, to make space for new energies.

Welcome to this full moon meditation.

Full moon is a wonderful time to release and let go of anything that we no longer need,

As well as celebrate and reflect on our achievements,

On our growth,

Things we can feel proud of.

If you have anything in mind that you wish to let go of in this lunar cycle,

Just bring it to mind now.

If you don't,

Simply see what arises as we travel through the meditation.

Start by getting really comfortable,

Either sitting or laying down.

Just gently close your eyes,

Letting the breath be steady and even.

Bring to your mind now your favourite place in nature,

Somewhere you feel completely at home and in peace.

Maybe it's a beach,

A field or a meadow,

Maybe by a lake or in the forest.

Find that place that feels right for you and visualise yourself there.

It's dark but you can still see and as you take in your surroundings,

Start to walk yourself forward and find a comfortable position to sit.

Feel the air around you as cool,

You're perfectly warm and comfortable as you sit down and take your gaze up towards the sky.

Notice a full,

Bright moon in a clear sky,

Glowing with a pure white light.

Take a moment to really see it,

Seeing all the marks and the glow in the sky.

Keeping that image of the full moon in mind,

Draw it down and place it at your heart centre,

As if you're placing and visualising a moon right at your heart.

With the moon at your heart centre,

The pure white glow around it,

Start to notice and feel its power inside of you.

Bringing with it the energy of release,

Helping you to let go of any tension or any painful emotions from your heart.

Notice anything that arises that you wish to let go of and simply let it be absorbed by the moon's white light.

As we take a journey around the body,

Gently move the moon in your mind to the part of the body I mentioned.

Let it rest there a moment and use its energy to help you release any physical or energetic tension that you find there,

Letting it be absorbed by the moon.

Starting at your heart,

Gently guide the moon down to your right shoulder,

Placing it at your right shoulder.

Next,

Down to the right elbow,

The wrist,

The right hand,

Coming to the right thumb,

First finger,

Second finger,

Third finger,

Fourth finger,

Then to the palm of the hand and the back of the hand.

Gently draw it back up the arm and over now to the left shoulder.

Moving down to the left elbow,

The wrist,

The hand,

The left thumb,

First finger,

Second finger,

Third finger,

Fourth finger,

Palm of the left hand,

The top of the left hand.

Gently guide the full moon back up to your throat this time,

Back up past the left shoulder all the way to the throat,

Resting here at the throat chakra.

Is there anything that you wish you had said or anything that's been said to you that you wish to release?

Let it be absorbed by the moon.

Bringing the moon up to the right ear,

Crown of the head,

Down to the nose,

The jaw,

Back to the throat,

And then over to the left ear,

Up to the crown of the head,

The nose,

The jaw,

Landing back at the throat,

Noticing if there is anything there still left to release,

Letting it release into the moon now.

Drawing the moon down now and taking it to the back of the body,

The upper back,

The right shoulder blade,

The left shoulder blade,

Back to the centre of the spine as it rolls down past the torso,

Down to the lower back,

And over to the right hip,

Right thigh,

Right knee,

Down to the ankle,

And then the big toe,

First toe,

Second toe,

Third toe,

Fourth toe,

The front of the foot and the sole of the foot,

Travelling back up the leg all the way back to your right hip and then across to the left hip,

Placing the moon at the left hip,

Down the left thigh,

Left knee,

Ankle,

Big toe,

First toe,

Second toe,

Third toe,

Fourth toe,

Front of the foot,

Sole of the foot,

And then bringing it back up the leg,

Back to the hip,

And then just to the navel,

Bringing it to your core,

The centre of who you are,

The source of your self-confidence,

Your sense of self.

Take your moment to let any negative beliefs,

Any false beliefs that have been holding you back,

Letting them just be absorbed into the moon.

Anything that's holding you back from being fully confident,

Secure and completely yourself gets absorbed into the moon.

Gently guiding the moon now back to the heart space.

Let it take in any final things that have arisen inside of you that you are ready to release.

Take a moment to just give thanks to the moon for its support.

And then gently releasing the moon,

Letting it float out of your body,

From your heart,

All the way back up into the night sky,

Taking with it any burdens that you have released.

Know now that with what you have released,

You have also made space for new energies.

Welcome them in.

Bring your attention now back to the heart and feel the lightness,

The space you've created for more love,

Compassion and new beginnings.

Also feel the pride,

How far you've come already,

What you've achieved,

What you've overcome and the positive energy of knowing you've created space for more of this,

Building momentum and creating a life you love.

Stay here for a few breaths.

Just basking in the warm feeling of all the joy that is due to come to you.

It will fill the space you've created.

And just gently letting go of the focus on your heart.

Taking a final look up at the moon.

As you just bid it farewell.

Start to gently bring yourself back to your body.

Back to your normal state of awareness and back to the space where you are in the present moment.

Letting go of all we visualized and letting go of all that you were set to release.

As you land back in your body,

Gently closing your practice with a deep breath in through the nose,

Out through the mouth.

And you can gently blink your eyes open.

And come back to a normal state of being.
