Okay,
So I want you guys to just get into a comfortable position,
Can be sitting,
Laying down and close your eyes and just take a deep breath in,
Inhaling through the nose and purse your lips and do a slow exhale and as you exhale,
Release tension in your neck and shoulders and do this a couple more times,
Really trying to slow down that exhale and release any tension in your face,
Neck or shoulders.
One more nice full breath,
No rush,
Relaxing and releasing tension and in your mind,
Repeat after me,
I can let go of what I cannot control.
I can let go of what I cannot control and I want you to imagine a basket,
Just imagine that basket in your mind and I want you to visualize placing some worries,
Some tasks,
Some things that you cannot control into this basket and place them one at a time,
Don't rush and use your breath,
Each exhale,
Replace something in that basket and release tension in your body and just continue to allow thoughts,
Worries,
Tasks,
Those things you can't control come up in your mind and with each exhale,
You place that in your basket and you release tension in your body.
Not rushing through this,
Just one at a time.
We want you to go ahead and place one more thought or worry inside of that basket and big exhale,
Sigh it out,
Releasing that tension from your body and in your mind,
Repeating,
I can let go of what I cannot control and now I want you to just imagine yourself as your day will go on and you being present in your day and maybe you have a strong emotion or a worry that pops up and I want you to imagine yourself pausing and taking a breath and reminding yourself,
I'm safe right now,
I can pause and breathe through any emotion and I can let go of what I cannot control.
Take a nice low breath,
Exhale,
Releasing tension in your body.
So I want you to use this in your day to day and let's visualize that one more time.
So seeing yourself in the future and something comes up that worries you or stresses you.
Now visualize yourself pausing and taking a breath and then you're going to speak truth to yourself.
Repeat after me,
I'm safe right now.
I can pause and breathe through any emotion and I can let go of what I cannot control.
And just take a nice deep breath,
Slow exhale,
Releasing any tension in your body.
Take another breath in,
Breathing in calm and sigh it out.
One more final breath here,
Breathing in calm and sighing it out to exhale,
Releasing any of that tension or stress.
When you're ready,
You can open your eyes and remember that you can come back to this.
You can come back to pausing,
Taking a breath,
Placing things in this basket and telling yourself truth,
Like I'm safe right now.
I can breathe through an emotion and I can let go of what I cannot control.
