These are unexpected times and major change is upon us now and in the future. And while there is a lot of fear and uncertainty, there is also hope and new possibilities. It has been said that inside of every adverse situation lives the seed or equal or greater benefit. We can’t change or control, everything in the external world, but we can choose to shift our own attention and find the secret benefits in the challenges.

Many blessings and peace.

These are unexpected times and major changes upon us now and in the future.

And while there is a lot of fear and uncertainty,

There is also new hope and new possibilities.

It has been said that inside of every adverse situation lives the seed of equal or greater benefit.

So while we can't change or control everything in our external world,

We can choose to shift our own attention and find the secret hidden benefits in these challenges.

We can find the seeds of benefit.

And we must,

Because depending on where we focus our attention,

Depending on where we put our actions,

We will move in that direction.

Our choices and actions today will impact our future and experiences tomorrow.

I'd like to share with you 10 empowering insights and contemplations to help you find greater peace,

Clarity and strength now and in the times ahead.

Firstly,

This is a time to see the bigger picture and be open to the hidden benefits.

Throughout human history,

There has been many challenges and problems,

From famines,

Plagues,

Economic crises,

Wars and countless other challenges.

And inside those challenges was the seed of future benefit.

Sometimes the benefits were obvious right away and at other times those benefits and the learning emerged later on.

But the universe has a way of mending itself.

From wars came peace.

From health challenges came medical advances that we have benefited from now.

Economic challenges have many lessons to teach us.

And as we look into our own lives,

We've all experienced challenging events that ultimately led to realisations and positive outcomes.

Most people can recall an experience where a challenging event ultimately led to realisations and turning into something extremely positive.

In fact,

It's often been said that many people only change after challenging situations have been presented.

And so if we're honest,

We've seen this ourselves,

We've seen this in others,

And we will see something like this happen in the future.

The sooner we understand the benefits,

The sooner we will get the benefits.

And so in this time of great change,

A time of new possibilities,

A time of transformation,

As we embrace the challenge,

Our anxiety can turn into excitement,

Courage and hope.

So the first insight is just to realise that inside of a challenge is the seed of greater benefit.

And it's up to us to focus our attention on what that is,

What it could be,

And move in a positive direction.

The second thing is this is a time to remember who we are and be with ourselves.

At a time where there's a lot of social distancing,

Quarantine,

Time away,

Many of us have an opportunity to benefit from time with ourselves and our families,

To tune in to how are we doing,

Have we been spending enough time with ourselves,

Who are we,

Have we been taking care of ourselves,

Who are we at our core.

When we come back deeply to ourselves,

To our spiritual essence,

We realise that we are spiritual beings,

Powerful beings of consciousness.

We are free,

We are safe.

As the spiritual powerful consciousness that we are,

We are okay.

And this is not just a nice idea,

This is something to practice and experience daily,

Now and in the future,

That I am a powerful spiritual being and to bring that consciousness,

That peace,

That energy into our lives.

The more we focus on our peace,

Clarity,

Empowerment,

The more we can make effective actions and decisions.

And so let us take this time to really enjoy being with ourselves and gaining the power,

The energy,

The nourishment we need to be of service.

Next we can consider that this is a time to remember that we are one family,

We are all in this together.

This virus has made us all aware how interconnected we are.

We can no longer say that this is a problem that only affects other people somewhere else.

Instead we realise no matter who we are,

Where we come from,

Whether we're black,

White,

Green,

Blue,

Young,

Old,

Female,

Male,

Rich or poor,

Anyone can be affected by this.

And it takes a global effort and a local effort and a personal effort to make changes.

And so having that feeling that we are all in this together,

We're all one family,

We all belong to each other and we're here to help each other,

That is a beautiful realisation to have.

And the more people keep that in their hearts and minds,

The more we can bring that awareness into the future.

Fourthly,

This is a time to reconsider what is really important.

When our lives are interrupted and the things that we're used to are no longer able to happen as easily as they were,

We have an opportunity to reflect.

We can consider what do I really want,

What do I really need,

What is most important to you?

What can you live without?

What can't you live without?

Has there been anything that's been a bit off that could be improved?

And what kind of improvements can we make to our lives?

Taking time to step back and reassess our lives,

Our work,

Our situation,

Is an opportunity to make positive changes,

To glean insights that perhaps we would not be aware of in our usual busy lives.

So what is really important?

And what changes would you like to make?

As we discover these things,

We can discover a better life for ourselves and others going forward.

Fifth,

This is a wonderful time to consider our spending and our saving.

How have we been spending?

How have you been spending your money?

Have we as a society been spending wisely?

Have we made wise investments?

Has our money been put to its best and most effective use?

How much savings do we have for times of challenges?

And more important,

How can we make the best of what we have and move forward with conscious consumption and sensible savings?

Many people have realised that perhaps they haven't been using their money in the most worthwhile way.

So this situation is an opportunity for us to make plans,

Make amends and make things right,

So that if anything else comes up in the future,

Which is likely it will,

We are in a better position to handle it.

So we can take this time to consider the power and the benefit of money,

Savings and put our money in the most valuable places.

Number six,

This is a wonderful opportunity to take care of our home and family.

Often in a busy world,

People are so stressed and busy they don't have time to stop and take stock of their homes,

Their family and their lives.

We make all this money to pay for homes,

Mortgages,

Rent bills,

Furniture and all these other things,

But how much time is actually spent appreciating the things that we have?

How much time is spent appreciating our home,

Our family,

Our friends,

The wealth that we've acquired?

In the pursuit of more,

More,

More,

Maybe now we can stop and enjoy what we already have and be grateful.

How much is enough?

Can we be content with what is?

This is also an opportunity to do a spring clean and consider making our home beautiful,

Appreciating what we have and giving away the things that we no longer need to those who are in more need than us.

Perhaps by appreciating what we already have,

We can work less,

Appreciate more,

Serve more,

Give more.

So this is a wonderful opportunity to take care of our home and family.

And number seven,

This is a great opportunity to consider our diet,

Health,

Immunity and cleanliness.

The coronavirus has made many people who previously didn't think too much about hand washing and cleanliness or their health,

Take it a lot more seriously,

Which is a wonderful thing overall now and in the future.

Improving our health and our hygiene can help us avoid colds and flus and other illnesses and potentially other viruses.

It can help us recover faster and better if we do get sick.

And so it's worth considering how can we improve our health?

How can we become stronger and improve our immune system?

What foods could you include in your diet to feel stronger and more able to tackle disease and illness if it comes?

How can we increase our fresh juices and immune building herbs and supplements?

How can we make sure we're getting all the vitamins and minerals that we need?

And how can we make sure we're stocked up in case something like this happens again?

If we take care of our health,

Our nutrition,

Our cleanliness and our stocks now,

We will be in a much better position for the rest of our lives.

As we do this now,

We can continue those practices going forward.

Number eight,

This is time to give thanks for all our blessings and not take things for granted.

Before the Corona crisis,

Many in America and much of the world was experiencing unprecedented levels of financial wealth,

Opportunities,

Job opportunities,

Ability to travel cheaply and take advantage of many of the things the modern world has offered us.

However,

How many of us were truly grateful for all these opportunities?

Sometimes when we have access to things all the time,

We begin to take it for granted.

How many of us were waking up with joy and gratitude at all the abundance that we had?

When things are taken away or compromised,

We realize how blessed we are.

And as we do that,

We can focus on those blessings we still have.

We can focus on all the blessings in our lives now.

And as we see our blessings,

As we feel our blessings,

We can feel happier,

More positive and more able to take advantage of all the opportunities we do have and all the new opportunities which will come.

So by paying extra attention to our blessings,

We can experience more blessings because as we focus our attention,

That becomes our life.

Gratitude begets gratitude.

Number nine,

This is the time to stop fretting the small stuff.

In a time of crisis and change and transformation,

We can take a step back and let go of all the petty gripes and resentments that do us no good and hold us in negativity.

This is the time to let go of our negative feelings and grudges and realize there's much more important things to focus on.

Politics,

Petty opinions about things,

We can let it go and focus on much bigger issues.

As we have challenges to face,

We can make our attention matter by focusing our attention and our energy on the changes we can make and the positive improvements we can bring into our lives and into the world.

So in light of this crisis and this transformation,

The small stuff can be released.

And if we keep that attitude with us going forward,

Then we can always put the first things first,

The bigger picture first,

The more important things first,

And let all those little things,

Little negativity,

Fade away from our mind,

From our heart,

So we can truly be of service in the world.

And as we let it go,

We will feel happier and more content,

More loving,

More capable,

And more able to manage the times to come.

And finally,

Number ten,

This is the time to appreciate our relationships.

When our travel is restricted,

When we know people are dying all over the world,

It gives us an opportunity to appreciate our friends,

Our family,

Our colleagues,

When people are no longer part of our lives in the usual way,

We begin to appreciate the people we may have ignored or taken for granted.

Who do you care about?

Who could you send a message of appreciation to and see how they're doing?

Think of all the seen and unseen hands that go into the production of our food,

Products,

Transport,

And all the different things we enjoy in life.

There is a whole chain of support that allows us to enjoy the foods,

Drinks,

Experiences,

Products,

And services that add flavor and ease to our lives.

So now is a good time to send some love and blessings to those who we care about.

Be grateful.

And as we bring that gratitude with us into the future,

It can help make the world a better place and make people feel more appreciated.

So just consider who are you grateful for?

Who could do with a little gratitude?

These are just ten insights,

Ten points to reflect on,

But there are countless more,

And I invite you to consider what other blessings can come from this situation.

What else can you be grateful for?

What other ways can we turn this situation around and make it better going forward?

As we focus our attention,

That becomes our experience.

So instead of focusing unnecessarily on endless news and negativity and worries and fears,

We can use a lot of that time to focus on positivity,

Solutions,

Transformation,

Proactive choices and decisions that will improve our own lives and the world.

So as you focus on the blessings and gratitude and opportunities,

You can remain positive and make adjustments to your own life.

You can become powerful and strong through powerful thoughts and powerful actions.

We can turn this around,

Doing the best we can each day with love in our hearts.

For your good energy.

And I want you to know that you really are a blessing to all those around you.

And every time you feel peaceful and calm and positive,

Your energy is infectious in a good way.

And so that allows others to think more clearly,

To do positive actions and to create positive changes.
