Welcome to this light shower body scan for the purpose of refreshing,
Enlivening,
Calming,
And readying you for whatever is next in your day.
Begin by settling yourself into a seated or reclined position.
Settling in.
Wiggling.
Adjusting.
And let's start with noticing your breath.
How it naturally flows in and out.
Observing it.
Noticing the sensations of the breath moving into and out of.
Noticing pauses,
Expansion,
And contraction.
Now bring your attention to this space just above your head.
It's a shower like no other.
It's pristine,
Pure,
Clean.
If you reached out,
You couldn't touch it because it's made of light.
And it only showers light.
Light of the highest vibration.
Of the purest form.
Maybe it feels right to tilt your face up just slightly.
To catch the first drops.
Allowing that shower of light to now begin to flow over you.
As it starts at the crown of your head.
Allowing your head now to tilt dipped down.
Allowing the light to flow over.
Through the top of the head.
The middle.
Around the edges over your eyes.
Ears.
Back of the head.
And as it flows,
You can feel your whole body.
Begin to relax even more.
Gently flowing over your nose,
Your lips,
Your jaw.
Down to your neck.
Tongue soft,
Jaw dropping.
Neck catching it.
And then as the light shower rains down your neck,
It too is releasing.
Letting go.
Down to the shoulders.
Over the tops of the shoulders.
Drawing it gently down.
Like a mini massage.
Gently,
Softly washing the tension away.
Notice the breath.
Flowing.
In a rhythm all its own.
Allowing that light shower to flow down.
Just notice how it's flowing down.
Over the top of your right shoulder.
Over the shoulder cap.
Upper arm.
Elbow.
Forearm.
Wrist.
Palm.
Top of hand.
And fingers.
And as it flows and drips off the ends of your fingers,
It's drawing and taking the tension along with it back to the earth.
Scooching your attention now back up to the left shoulder.
Noticing this light shower moving over the top of the shoulder,
The left shoulder cap,
Upper arm,
Elbow,
Forearm,
Wrist,
Palm,
Top of hand,
And running through,
Around,
And dripping off the ends of each of your fingers.
Bringing your attention back to the base of your neck at the back body.
Witnessing.
Noticing.
Observing.
The light shower running down your spine.
Over the back of the shoulders.
The shoulder blades.
Mid back.
Lower back.
Down to the sacrum.
Bring your attention to the front body at the base of the neck.
Over the clavicle.
Chest.
Ribs.
Solar plexus.
Abdomen.
Pelvis.
Allowing the light shower to wash away,
To rinse away any tension,
Any gathering points.
Letting go.
Bringing your attention back to the back of your sacrum.
Over the buttocks and the hips.
The light flows,
Allowing the hips to release,
Spread,
Support,
Gently.
Licking your lips.
Liquidly,
Easily,
Allowing any restriction or constriction to flow,
To open,
Release,
Let go.
And allowing and noticing the light shower drawing it down and away.
Bringing your attention to your right top of leg.
Allowing that light to shower the upper leg.
Flowing through,
Down,
Past and through the knee.
Lower leg.
Ankle.
Heel.
Sole of foot.
Top of foot.
And watching it flow out of all of your toes.
All toxins.
All tension.
All that is not needed,
Required,
Desired.
Allowing it to wash away,
Back into the earth.
Bringing your attention to the upper left leg,
At the leg crease,
And noticing as the light shower washes around through the upper leg,
Knee,
Lower leg,
Ankle,
Heel,
Sole of foot,
Top of foot,
And then watching as it flows out of each of your toes.
Letting it go.
Noticing.
Watching it run clear.
Now bringing your attention back to your whole body.
That shower,
That light shower,
Above your head,
Still flowing.
Taking in your whole body.
Maybe tilting your face up to catch the light.
Allow it to flow over you in one final rinse.
Cleansing.
Refreshing.
Revitalizing.
Breathing.
Breathe deeply.
And allow your natural breath rhythm to lead you into your day.
Allowing your eyes to gently come open.
Being present to who you really are.
