This is a meditation called the wisdom of the world's laziest cat.

So start by making yourself comfortable lying down for this one.

Make sure you won't be disturbed for the duration of this meditation and allow yourself to settle in mentally as well.

Letting go of what you just came from and just being here.

So the world's laziest cat.

In my books I included quotes by this character.

I have many quotes from many wise people and others and one of the wise ones is a certain orange feline and one of them is life is beautiful seen through the crack between the mattress and the duvet.

Life is beautiful seen through the crack between the mattress and the duvet.

If you can imagine lying there the only thing the outside world can see of you are your two eyes peeking out through the crack between the mattress and the duvet.

Sheltered like that no one can expect or demand anything from you.

You're allowed to focus solely on yourself and that's what we'll be doing here for the next minutes here.

So just start noticing that you are lying here in fact.

Give yourself permission to become heavier and heavier in the sense that with each exhale you are actually allowed to sink a little deeper into the mattress.

And as we do this I'm going to give you a few quotes from the master of leisure because it's actually okay to have a smile on your face while meditating.

So here we go.

I'm not lazy.

I'm energy efficient.

My idea of cleaning the house is sweeping the floor with a glance.

Sometimes I get the urge to exercise.

I lie down until it goes away.

There must be more to life than eating drinking and sleeping but I hope not.

So with each exhale let yourself sink deeper and deeper into the mattress.

And whatever thoughts or things that you think you need to deal with or were just dealing with before coming to this meditation,

Just notice them.

Then return your focus to the feeling of sinking deeper and deeper into the mattress.

And I'll give you a few more quotes.

If each day is a gift,

I'd like to know where to return Mondays.

Can we start the weekend over again?

I wasn't ready.

On Mondays my coffee needs a coffee.

And again with each exhale let go.

Allow yourself to sink further and further into the mattress or whatever you're lying on.

And if you can imagine,

If you can visualize yourself becoming heavier and heavier,

Sinking more and more into the mattress,

Just like in a cartoon.

If you can picture the mattress actually expanding and letting you sink down into it,

Forming a sort of hollow where you're allowed to go deeper and deeper until you are actually shielded from the outside world.

No one can see you.

No one can hear you.

Just being.

Just being and lying still.

Give yourself this moment.

It's an investment you're making right now.

And here are some more quotes.

Some people have anxiety attacks.

Some people have gas attacks.

I have nap attacks.

Doing nothing is very hard to do.

You never know when you're finished.

I'm not antisocial.

I'm just not user friendly.

Relationships are like a walk in the park.

Jurassic Park.

Life is like a hot bath.

It feels good while you're in it,

But the longer you stay,

The more wrinkled you get.

And again,

Allow yourself to become heavier and heavier,

Sinking deeper and deeper into the mattress.

Let go of thoughts.

Return to the feeling of the surface beneath you and release with every exhale.

You don't even know or have to know what you let go of.

Could be old experiences,

Old patterns of thought,

Whatever it might be.

Just choose to let go and you'll get a few more quotes.

I can do 49 push-ups.

I just need a nap between each one.

The most active thing about me is my imagination.

Give me coffee and no one gets hurt.

Why bother investing in a Rembrandt when a mirror is both more beautiful and cheaper?

And you'll get the last quote.

Getting out of bed in the morning is like losing a lover.

I shall now attempt to do the impossible.

Drag myself to the coffee pot.

If people were meant to pop out of bed,

We'd all sleep in toasters.

As we come to a closure of this,

Take two deep breaths and let go.

As you exhale,

Return to the room around you if you've been diving completely into this wise-cat-land.

And I hope just like me that you've had a little smile on your face hearing some of these sublime words.

You can take this mindset with you as you go out and continue doing whatever you're supposed to be doing right now with these wise-feline words.
