Just focus,
Feel your breath,
And take a nice,
Refreshing,
Easy breath in through the nose,
Slowly releasing it through the mouth.
And in your own words,
In your own mind,
Give yourself permission to allow me to guide you on this pleasant,
Guided imagery.
And on the exhale of your next breath,
Allow your eyes to close.
Breathe in deeply in through the nose,
And breathe it all out through the mouth,
Every last little bit.
So with your breath,
And with your intentions,
You've allowed yourself to close your eyes,
And open your receptiveness to my words.
And we're just going to take a simple,
Gentle journey together.
And just allow yourself to discover how pleasant this can be,
How comfortable this can be.
And just start at the top of your head,
And gently work your way downward,
Imagining an orange,
Blue,
Or green healing color,
Circulating through your body,
Allowing any pressures from inside to release.
Down over the facial muscles,
Especially the jaw,
Because we hold a lot of tension in the jaw.
Just release any tension you might find,
And it becomes a very pleasant feeling.
It's a pleasant feeling that you're allowing down over your shoulders,
Where we also hold a lot of tension,
And down through the arms,
All the way down to the hands,
And through the fingertips.
Just allowing this beautiful,
Energetic color to climb up again,
Up to the shoulders,
And the pressures of the day are releasing.
Very pleasant as you move down through the chest,
And down through the back,
The stomach,
The lower back,
And moving through the hips,
All the way down your legs,
And to the tips of your toes,
This gentle feeling of letting go.
Now count backwards in your own mind with me.
As we count backwards from five down to zero,
At zero we connect with your wonderful imagination.
And so begin at five,
Moving into that wonderful part of you at four,
At three,
Even deeper now,
Two,
One,
And at zero,
This deep,
Relaxing feeling.
Feel the rhythm of your breath,
And feel yourself opening up your imaginative mind,
And just allow yourself to begin to imagine that you're walking through a beautiful meadow.
It's a beautiful day,
And the temperature is just the way you like it.
And you can feel the earth beneath your feet,
And there might be a sweet smell of nature around you,
Perhaps some wildflowers that have been blossoming.
And walking along the meadow,
You see a beautiful bird flying high in the sky,
Majestic,
Free,
And there's a free feeling you have inside of you as you imagine this.
Continue this gentle journey.
Feel the softness of the earth,
Smell the richness of nature,
And you can actually hear a gentle breeze moving through some distant trees.
And as you walk,
You notice before you there's a single,
Solitary,
Beautiful tree at the top of a hill beyond the meadow.
And as you continue to walk toward it,
You witness how wonderfully this tree has formed.
You hear the sound of the leaves gently moving in the breeze,
And the sounds,
And the smells,
The images create this feeling of greater ease and comfort.
And as you come closer to the tree,
You notice on top of the tree there's a single,
Solitary leaf,
And in the breeze,
You watch it twist and turn,
And twist and turn.
And something inside you knows that if you watch that leaf,
That it's about to break free.
And all at once,
You see that leaf is freed from the tree,
And the breeze carries it slowly back and forth,
Gliding down,
Down,
Down towards the earth,
And you watch as it glides to a stop near the base of the tree.
And you walk over,
And you look down at that leaf,
And you see that leaf there,
And you see the tree,
And there's the roots.
And then you notice there's a single,
Solitary blade of grass,
And it has persevered,
And it has grown strong because of its motivation,
The same way you have been so wonderfully motivated in your life from this day moving forward to help yourself,
Help others,
And make a difference.
And that you can take the information that you've learned and that you've seen from this experience and begin to understand it and help yourself with it,
And that feels wonderful.
And so in this beautiful place,
With that wonderful image in your mind,
With the smells,
The sounds,
The physical and positive emotional feelings,
We're going to bring those positive feelings forward with you as you awaken in a few moments.
Bring that feeling of positiveness,
And we're going to use a count from zero up to five,
And at five you'll awaken to a positive,
Comfortable,
Calm state of well-being.
And so at zero,
Just reinforce the physical positive feeling and the emotional positive feeling.
Just let that rich positive feeling come forward with you from zero.
At one,
We're coming up.
The room around you at two.
At three,
We're smiling.
Energy feels very positive.
Coming up.
And at four,
We're awakening.
And at five now,
Eyes are open,
Wide awake,
Positive,
Calm,
Non-suggestible state right now and wide awake.
You can use this imagery to create this wonderful state and be aware that we can get into this positive,
Calm state at any time just by thinking about this experience.
