Hello and welcome.
Before we begin,
Take the time to set up your space so that you can be comfortable and free of any distractions.
Perhaps you want a warm blanket to wrap around your body,
Or maybe you have a cushion to elevate your hips up slightly off the floor.
You could go ahead and light a candle or some incense to bring some more intention into your practice.
And when you're ready,
Just take a seated position that makes you feel at ease and is as comfortable as your body will allow you to be.
You can choose to close your eyes or just drop your gaze onto your lap and take a few slow and deep breaths in and out.
As you breathe,
Become aware of the weight of your body connecting to the earth below you.
Notice how the deep,
Slow breaths calm your energy.
Notice the position of your hands and where they rest in your lap or at your sides.
Continue with that inhale and exhale while you relax your shoulders,
Relaxing your face,
Softening your jaw and your eyebrows.
As your muscles begin to relax,
Your nervous system will also begin to relax and you might start to feel lighter in a sense.
Go ahead and give your whole body permission to just relax here in this space.
Be as heavy as you can be.
The energy of the full moon calls us to let go of worries and tasks that have been holding us back.
That magical energy of the full moon can help us to release what is no longer serving us.
Whether it be undesirable thoughts,
Poor habits or behaviors and belief patterns.
Letting go of things,
Projects and even people that are holding us back from doing what we want to do in life.
As you continue to breathe,
Imagine yourself living your dream life.
Imagine what it feels like.
Imagine what it looks like every day to be waking up and doing exactly what you want to be doing.
Allow yourself to dream big.
Take up space.
And then bring to mind something in your life that you would really need to change so that you could be living that dream life that you just imagined.
Be clear and be honest to yourself about what you would need to let go of to make this change happen.
Repeat these affirmations out loud or in your head and notice how or if each statement resonates with you.
I release this judgement.
I release envy and comparisons.
I release this fear and doubt.
I release relationships that do not make me feel worthy.
I release toxic people and situations from my life without shame or guilt.
Return your focus back to your breath and give every breath your full attention.
Watching it come in and then watching it leave.
Notice how you must release the breath inside of you to make space for that new breath to enter.
As you breathe,
Slowly scan your body and notice how you are feeling energetically.
Our energy is not infinite.
We all have a limited supply of energy and we must rest regularly to replenish and restore this energy.
There is always time to rest and renew.
And here we are in that time now.
Nothing to do.
No right or wrong way to be in this space.
Nothing to have to move or regulate.
Just let your body be still and heavy.
Let your mind be still and empty.
Absolutely effortless.
Nothing to do except just be here with your breath.
Having a meditation practice is not difficult.
We just need to remember that it's available for us anytime we need it.
When we set aside an intentional time each day to renew our energy,
It allows us to share that abundant energy with the rest of the world in the best way possible.
And when we feel our energy is starting to deplete,
We can choose to come back here to this practice,
This space,
And to our breath again and again to restore and rejuvenate our energy.
May you be able to harness this magical energy of the full moon and I wish you many blessings as you proceed with your day.
Namaste.
