If there’s one breath and mudra technique that helps quickly settle anxiety, it’s this one. This hand mudra (apana vayu) gives, supports, and protects life force—it is even called the “life-saver” in India! At the same time, this cooling breath technique (sitali pranayama) supports the digestive system and calms the mind. We’ll practice together for 3 minutes, but I recommend doing 11 or 20 minutes when you’re concerned, stressed, or overwhelmed. Please note: While this practice can be deeply supportive, it is not a substitute for professional mental health care.
