We absorb the energy of the sun, the stars, the earth and its waters. We all grow together thanks to a profound bounty of energy waiting for our engagement. Call it connection. Call it love. Please settle in for this exploration of the ways you play in energy. Discover a renewed sense of wealth in your life. (Please note, there is a bit of a hum in the background. That's energy for you. And so settling in,

Inviting the breath,

Introduce you to this moment.

And so please feel the breath coming in,

Welcoming all that's alive.

And feeling the breath move out and feeling all that's alive moving in you.

And just notice how in the breath we find the moment and we realize that all that's alive is right here with us moving in and through us.

And so please turn your awareness now to the body receiving the breath and let's notice in this moment the body receiving.

And then in this next moment the body releasing and the breath goes.

And then another moment and the body receives another inhale of life.

And then in the next moment the body releases and there's a movement of life as you breathe out.

And tune in to how your body is gently moving with each breath even as you sit so upright,

Even as you sit so stable,

Every breath moves us with life.

Now we're going to shift our awareness to deepening the breath a bit and lengthening the breath a bit.

And so as you breathe in,

See if you can count to maybe seven or eight.

Let the belly expand at the end of the inhale and as you breathe out,

See if you can lengthen the exhale to about a seven or an eight.

You can start the exhale just a gentle contraction of the low belly,

Keeping the shoulders soft.

We'll just breathe like that for about five more breaths,

Breathing in a count of seven or eight.

No strain.

If that's too much,

Then count faster.

No strain.

If that's too much,

Then count faster.

Breathing out seven or eight.

And as we intentionally deepen and lengthen the breath,

We may start to become aware that the breath is always using us as a channel for life.

And it comes in and we might be able to feel it moving through us a little more distinctly as we breathe a little longer and then it moves out.

And everything changes in that moment as it moves out.

So just a few more breaths,

Breathing in seven or eight.

Breathing out,

Seven or eight.

Focus my wander and just bring it back.

And so now after this next breath,

Please release control of the breath.

No more need to count the breath or lengthen it.

Just see what it's like to release any control of the breath.

And watch how even without your control,

The breath comes in and the breath goes out.

And so let's just become very aware now of this inexhaustible resource of the breath.

Even without your say-so,

It's finding you.

And even without your say-so,

It's departing.

It comes in and it goes out.

And you may notice the breath becomes quite a bit more shallow,

But still,

It finds you,

It plays within you,

And it departs.

And that won't stop until it finally stops.

But even that breath that you won't receive,

Won't you receive it?

Won't you receive it by someone else at some other time?

So as we remain here,

Letting the breath move in and move out without our say-so,

Let's turn our awareness to the energy carried in the breath.

And let's just make note together how essential this energy is.

What does this breath energy deliver to us?

What is this breath energy doing,

Creating,

Creating,

Allowing,

Moving,

Dissolving,

Destroying even,

This whole cycle of the breath,

This energy?

And then start to notice how this energy,

It just isn't of your creation,

But you do get to dance with it.

And so as you sit for a moment,

Contemplate those energies that nourish you.

And just notice how essential they are,

Perhaps the energy of food,

Money energy,

Love energy.

We don't create those.

We certainly get to play in them and foster environments that they can move through with ease,

Joy.

Although sometimes we foster environments that they might not move through.

Or environments that they move through with great difficulty and struggle.

And so as we sit for another few moments together,

Let's just notice for ourselves,

What creates this energy?

What creates the optimal environment for all the energies to move through us so they can play,

Dance,

And do all that energy does,

Empower us in this moment?

And do all that energy does empower us in this life?

What's the environment that we can offer these energies?

And you might notice it's quite a Goldilocks environment.

Not too hot,

Not too cold,

Not too tight,

Not too loose,

Not too heavy,

Not too light.

Just so for you.

Finding that balance,

I invite you to become aware now how you can foster that balance.

It's different for all of us.

Because we all have different ways of holding,

Different ways of being a little too loose.

So let yourself see now where some things can be slightly loosened,

Slightly tightened,

Slightly warmed,

Or slightly cooled.

And I'll leave you here for a moment just to let yourself see.

And now,

Please,

Giving yourself a chance to establish a bit of a commitment to yourself.

We don't need to make a commitment to ourselves.

Commitment to yourself.

We don't need to make everything just so immediately.

Well,

We can.

We don't need to.

Let's just notice one thing that we can do that will give us a very different environment.

And in the words of your heart,

Commit to it.

Something new,

Different,

Maybe something old and forgotten and remembered.

And so with this commitment intact now,

Let's start to come back offering our thanks to all of the energies that have flowed through us in our life.

Breath.

Carrying the same energy as food.

Carrying the same energy as sunlight.

Carrying the same energy as love.

Thank you for all of the vital energy we experience to empower us in life.

And then as you're ready,

Please take a nice breath.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.
