We must learn to forgive ourselves and love ourselves in order to be able to forgive others and love others. Let go of the notion of being perfect in everything that we do. We all make mistakes but do we all learn from them? Learn from your mistake and let it go.

What's going on everyone?

This is Mars and first I want to thank you for giving me another opportunity to walk on this journey with you to meditation and enlightenment.

Thank you for allowing me to meditate with you.

Thank you for allowing me to be here in your space occupying your time.

But I also want you to thank yourself for taking the time to meditate,

Taking the time to be here to love on yourself and to love yourself.

If you've been listening to me before even if this is your first time I want you to understand that I love self-care and self-love.

You can't learn how to love someone else or expect them to learn how to love you if you don't love yourself.

So thank you for loving yourself enough to be here today.

Thank you for loving yourself enough to take the time out of your busy schedule to take care of yourself.

Now as we begin this journey tonight or today or whatever time you're listening to this I want you to focus on love and forgiveness.

We're gonna take the time to focus on giving ourselves the grace,

The mercy,

And compassion that we need to move through this earth,

Move through this universe with a sense of peace,

With a sense of calm and understanding.

I want us to be able to forgive ourselves and let go of what society thinks that we should be doing,

Where we should be by this point,

Or what we should be doing.

Let go of any of those insecurities,

Those fears,

Those thoughts and distractions.

Allow yourself to just be at ease.

As we move through we're going to learn how to give ourselves the grace,

Mercy,

And compassion that we need.

Letting go of this image of being perfect.

As I always say,

Perfection is an illusion of the mind.

It's not a real thing.

Be our best,

Do our best,

And always look to grow each and every day.

If you're striving for perfection,

You're striving for one singular goal.

But if you're striving to improve on a daily basis,

That goal is always changing and you're always chasing it.

So let's take this time to get started.

And by doing that I want you to get into a nice,

Comfortable position.

I invite you to come and breathe with me.

If you're listening to this while you're driving,

Please pay attention to the road.

But if you're able to,

I invite you to lie down or sit down or stand in a comfortable position.

If you'd like,

You can close your eyes or avert your gaze and simply breathe.

As we allow ourselves and allow our breath to guide us and light the way.

So I invite you right now to take a deep breath in through your nostrils,

Filling your lungs,

Filling your belly before you exhale,

Releasing it all out.

I invite you to take another deep,

Long breath through your nostrils,

Filling your lungs,

Filling your belly to capacity before you exhale,

Releasing it all out.

This is where our final breath together,

Deep breath in as we hold here,

Filling our lungs,

Filling our bellies to capacity.

Once they're filled,

Hold here for a moment.

Now exhale,

Release all the stress,

All the tension,

All the anxiety.

Feel it as it melts away,

Pushing away from your body,

Clearing your mind.

Now as you listen,

I invite you to just breathe as you slow your breath to a nice,

Slow,

Intentional,

Steady pace.

If you're able to,

I invite you to place your right hand on the middle of your chest and your left hand on your belly.

Feel your heart rate as it slows with each deep,

Intentional,

Slow,

Long breath.

Feel your belly as it rises with each inhale and deflates with each exhale.

Feel yourself being at ease.

As your heart rate begins to slow,

Feel your mind beginning to become at ease.

Your breath controls your body as well as your mind.

With each deep,

Long breath,

Feel your heart rate begin to slow as your mind slowly begins to clear.

Don't worry about tomorrow or five minutes from now or yesterday or five minutes ago.

Simply focus on the moment right now,

Focusing on your breath as you take a deep breath in,

Deep breath out.

Allow all those other thoughts,

Distractions,

Ideas to just fade away,

Never disappearing from your mind,

But just fading to the background long enough to give you a sense of peace and a sense of calm.

As we begin to use this time to find that inner peace,

Find that vision of love for ourselves that we have hidden away,

Use this time to envision what it would look like to be loved unconditionally,

Knowing that no matter what happens or what happened,

You are still loved and you are still loved.

As we take the time to forgive ourselves and let go of any animosity,

Stress,

Resentment,

Hatred that we may have for something or someone else,

Understanding again that perfection is an illusion and that mistakes will happen,

But that we must learn from these mistakes so that they don't happen again.

And it's okay to make mistakes,

It's okay to fall down,

But the key is to get back up.

Falling down was the mistake,

Forgiving ourselves is the getting up.

Forgive yourself for the error,

Knowing that this is something that you've learned how to adjust,

How to move on.

There's no need to sit in your mistake,

Pity yourself,

Worry about what others think about your failure.

Use that to learn how to be a better person and love yourself in spite of.

When you take the time to be the best that you can be,

That is your form of perfection.

So forgive yourself for any and everything that you feel like you've done wrong.

As a person,

As a human,

In this society we've always been taught to look at the negative.

Oh,

I should have done this.

I should have done that.

I can't do this.

I can't do that.

But instead of doing that,

Let's flip the script and say,

I did do this.

I did do that.

I can do this.

I can do that.

Removing the word can't from our vocabulary,

Learning that we can do anything we set our minds to.

And if you've tried your hardest and it just doesn't work for some reason,

It's okay.

You've given it your all.

You've done what you can.

And that's all that we ask.

Now,

As you continue breathing,

Remember to just use this time to rest as well.

Our bodies have this miraculous way of starting the healing process in some cases,

And even in other cases,

Healing ourselves by allowing ourselves to rest.

So if you're able to right now,

When you're listening,

I invite you to rest for the next few moments.

Simply breathe,

Focusing on what brings you peace and what brings you joy and letting everything else go.

Not worried about tomorrow or five minutes from now or yesterday or five minutes ago,

Allowing our mind to center and our body to be grounded.

As that nervous,

Anxious energy just begins to settle and move into his new space.

As you let go of all the fears and anxieties of trying to be what society wants you to be and moving into what and where you want to be.

The goal is not always pleasing others and doing things for others.

The goal is to do things for yourself and take care of your mental health and space first.

Taking care of yourself is not a selfish act,

But a selfless act.

Taking the time to fill your vessel so that you're able to pour freely into others' cups is an act of love and an act of care.

For there's no way that you can fill someone's cup from an empty vessel.

Take care of yourself,

Love yourself,

So that you can take care and love others.

I thank you for your time.

I thank you for your grace and I thank you for listening to another episode of Meditate With Mars.

You are truly appreciated and I hope that this meditation brought you a sense of peace and a little bit of sense of calm and a little happiness that you may not have had before.

And I invite you to take that sense of peace and calm with you throughout the rest of the day,

The week,

The month,

Or until I listen and see you again.

Always remember that you are a beacon of light and a beacon of hope that shines to and through others.

You are truly an inspiration.

And always know that the light in me honors,

Cherishes,

Appreciates,

And truly bows to the light and the love that is within each and every one of you.

I ask that you go forth in peace,

Go forth in love and understanding.

Ashe.

Namaste.
