Welcome,

And I hope that each one of you will come to find peace within yourself.

Today,

I want to talk a little bit about positive energy.

And this meditation is based on a live session that I did on November 12th,

2024.

Positive energy,

It's all about the energy we emit and receive,

And it's contagious.

And it has the power to transform us,

All of our interactions and our overall well-being.

Cultivating positive energy can help reduce stress and improve mental health and foster resilience.

And by focusing on positive thoughts and gratitude and mindfulness,

We can create a more optimistic outlook on life.

And that doesn't mean ignoring negative emotions,

But rather approaching challenges with a constructive attitude.

I believe that what many of you sense from me is my positive energy.

I'm upbeat by nature.

I try to always view things in a positive light.

And if something bad happens,

I look at it as something transient,

Because this too shall pass.

If you've listened to my meditations or you're in my group,

You know that I often say that every day is a good day if you're there to appreciate it.

And that's a positive statement.

It's telling you that there is no question about it being a good day,

As long as you decide to look at it that way.

Close your eyes now,

And let's get in touch with our breath.

It doesn't matter if you're sitting,

Standing,

Or lying down.

The only thing that matters when you meditate is that you're comfortable and alert.

Now,

As we begin to settle in and focus on our breath,

Let's scan our body.

Relax your face,

Unfurrow your brow,

And unclench your jaw.

Relax your neck and your shoulders.

These are common places of tension in our world today.

Relax your arms and your hands.

Just let them drop.

Let go of any tension in your chest and belly,

And feel yourself getting heavier with each and every breath.

Relax your legs and your feet.

And as you begin to relax,

Let's focus even more on our breath.

Our breath is our anchor.

It's there for us in all moments.

It's there for us when we're calm,

And it's there for us when we're stressed.

Our breath is like a river,

As it flows in and flows out.

Just gently inhale and gently exhale,

And notice your breath.

Notice it as it enters your body,

Maybe a cool sensation in your nostrils,

Or maybe the movement of your chest and belly as the air flows in and flows out.

Just continue to breathe at your normal pace,

And don't force anything.

Just let your breath move in and move out.

Let it flow like a river,

Sure and tranquil and calm.

And if you have thoughts,

Just let them go.

They're a constant part of our world,

But you needn't concern yourself with them when you meditate.

They're like clouds in the sky or waves on a lake.

Just continue to breathe and listen to my voice.

And it goes back to what I've said before about words and thoughts have power.

And when we radiate positivity,

We often attract similar people,

Creating a cycle of mutual encouragement and kindness.

And in interactions with others,

Positive energy can strengthen relationships and build a supportive network.

Positive energy influences our environment,

And it's been found that people who have positive energy are often more successful,

Happier,

And healthier than those who do not.

That's because positive energy can help you to overcome challenges.

When you have a positive outlook,

You're more likely to see challenges as opportunities,

Like I did learning to walk when they told me I wouldn't be able to.

Positive energy helps you build strong relationships because people are drawn to those who are positive and upbeat.

And positive energy will help you improve your physical health and to boost your immune system and help you recover from illness more quickly.

Now here,

I'm going to pause for a minute so you can just breathe and think,

And then I'll be back.

Now just continue to breathe,

Listen to my voice.

There are so many things that you can do to cultivate positive energy.

One is practice gratitude.

Take time each day to appreciate all the good things in your life.

It also helps if you spend time with positive people.

Surround yourself with people who inspire and uplift you.

That's a wonderful thing about our group.

It's brimming with positive energy.

Another thing you can do is to do things that you enjoy.

Make time for activities that bring you joy and fulfillment for things that you like to do.

Another thing that helps is to take care of your physical health.

Eat healthy foods,

Exercise regularly,

And get enough sleep.

Maybe one of the best things is to meditate and practice mindfulness.

That can help you to calm your mind and focus on the present moment.

And in the past few weeks,

We've talked about self-acceptance,

Self-esteem,

Letting go,

Healing,

Forgiveness,

Grief and loss,

Impermanence,

And being your authentic self.

And all of those things are easier if you have positive energy.

And all of them are just points along the same path,

That path of mindfulness that we might walk.

Here,

I'm going to pause again for a minute,

So you can just breathe and think,

And then I'll be back.

Now,

As we continue to breathe,

I'd like you to imagine a warm,

Golden light that's gently and gradually enveloping your body,

Starting from the top of your head and gradually moving down.

This light symbolizes happiness,

Filling every part of you with a sense of peace and contentment.

Just feel it as it engulfs your body in this golden,

Warm,

Comforting blanket.

Visualize it,

See it there all around you.

Now,

If you can,

Bring to mind a moment of joy.

It can be from your past,

A happy memory,

Or a time when you felt truly at peace with yourself.

And in thinking about this moment,

Just let yourself relive it for a moment.

See the colors,

Hear the sounds,

And feel the emotions of that precious moment.

And as you focus on that moment,

Allow the feelings of happiness to spread through your body.

Imagine these feelings radiating from your heart,

Spreading warmth and joy to every cell.

And feel yourself smiling,

And let this smile grow naturally as you immerse yourself in these positive emotions.

Now,

I'd like you to think about the things that you're grateful for.

Reflect on the people who bring joy into your life.

Reflect on the experiences that have enriched you.

And the little things that brighten your day.

Just allow this sense of gratitude to fill your heart and amplify your happiness.

Now if you feel willing,

I'd like you to repeat the following affirmations.

You can say them out loud or to yourself.

I'll say each one twice.

Happiness is within me.

Happiness is within me.

I am worthy of joy.

I am worthy of joy.

I attract positivity and peace.

I attract positivity and peace.

Now imagine how you interact with others,

How you can handle challenges with a positive mindset,

And how you spread happiness to those around you.

Take a few more deep breaths,

Breathing in happiness and exhaling any lingering tension or negativity.

And as you breathe,

Feel the connection between your mind and your body growing stronger,

Anchored by the happiness that you've cultivated.

And now as we come to a close,

Open your eyes,

Come back into the room,

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

And stretch and feel how good it is to be alive,

How good it is to be in this moment.

I hope this has been a beneficial and calming session.

Being positive will make your life better,

And I'm positive of that.
